Dairanger 13. More filler, more weirdos. Kabuki Boy has to have one of the worst suit designs I think I've ever seen. He was also so fucking annoying, in moderation it could have been amusing but Jesus, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

It's kinda fitting that some weird old man is the reason for the Aura Changers. And then he went and flat out murdered someone? Dafuq. Right after he gave Lin that speech about murder!

Dairanger 14. I'm confused. The Dairanger's defeated the Archbishop, who was able to catch the Qi-Bomber in one hand and deflect it. The Dairanger's struggle against the Gorma, but all three of them are needed to deflect the attack. Shouldn't they be easy for the Dairanger's to beat, then? Plus why did the Gorma get stronger by closing their eyes? It looked so stupid.

Oh well, this whole arc seemed largely purposeless, an elaborate way to introduce a new Dairanger, who isn't Tommy. I hope for all this drawn out nonsense, this new Dairanger is actually good, especially considering the core five have had barely any spot light time as it is.

Dude, how can you say these two episodes were pointless? They just gave you their purpose a few times over. The Byakkoshinken and the Dairinkens. That is pretty important.

You complain when Sentai series are 80% filler and 20% story, but now with DaiRanger, you are still complaining even though it is 75% story and 25% filler. HOt damn dude, you take my negativity to a whole new level.

BTW, 1 archbishop is not as strong as 3 generals.

And of course the sixth is NOT going to be Tommy, Tommy is PR, this is DaiRanger! I feel like you are watching these shows just to criticize them and not enjoy them.

They could have introduced those weapons in one episode, not two. And so much shit in that arc was pointless, like why did we need to see Kabuki possess so many people? Why bother with that cliffhanger of that dude being pushed off the building? Where did that robot come from? Why did they bother to give the old man some really young girl, that made it totally creepy? Hell pretty much all the other weapons and powers in the show, come from nowhere, so what made these frisbees so important they got two episodes?

Dairanger 15. The episode where the leader of our team of heroes abandons his friends, and then almost gets killed by a bunch of comic relief characters because of it. God the Dairanger's are awful. I like how the sixth Ranger will be arriving any episode soon and the core team still haven't got their shit together.

The Three Stooges were pretty cool, as far as that goes for the villains in this show. It's just a shame they wanted to play football, rather than actually fight. Still, with the rules of this show, the goofier you are and the sillier your plan, the more the Dairanger's get creamed. Also giant footballs.

Why are brothers and sisters so creepy in Toku? Your sister should never think 'being cute' is an argument to hang out with her. Also, why has there been no scenes between these two? Ryou learnt their Dad wasn't dead, but a 6000 year old super villain, I mean I guess I can understand him keeping that to himself but don't you think they'd talk about something related to it? Seems unfair to leave her totally in the dark, even if that might be for the best.

Because most of DaiRanger are in 2 part story arcs like current Kamen Rider series have been.

Why was Majin Buu more powerful than Cell and Freeza? Why is any villain a ranger (or rider) stronger suddenly in a later episode?

Two parters are fine, when it's necessary, but the majority of the arcs so far could have been told in a single episode.

I found Kabuki Boy infuriating levels of irritating.

And no, the other stuff doesn't matter, but it legitimises my criticisms when your defence for all the random shit padding the arc out is the forum equivalent of a shoulder shrug.

Yeah that robot came out of fucking nowhere, I like how a show that so carefully picked its martial arts and powers, seems to have no real rules whatsoever, everything just feels like pure random nonsense.

But yeah, that Kabuki arc was dumb, I mean sure the Stooges thing was dumb as well, but at least they contained it in a single episode and didn't add one sentence of story focus to try and pretend it was worthwhile.

Dairanger 16. The episode where Ryou is a dumbass, finding lots of children turned to stone, he still questions whether it was Gorma behind it. Then again, it is Japan, so there are probably more people with that ability than we realise...

It wasn't all bad though, Kujaku was back, who is one of the coolest characters in the show. She is especially awesome, as Sentai is a franchise notorious for treating women awfully, so to see such a badass female character is really rewarding. And I love how whenever she is around, we get loads of focus on Daigo as well, who is the only member of the Dairanger's I genuinely like.

It was also nice to have a genuinely terrifying villain for once as well, Funeral Ventriloquist and his creepy as puppet thing was fucking nightmare fuel. Even when he made Daigo dance, there was something so creepy and sinister about it. His showdown with Daigo was just epic. And then that twist, awesome!

Man that electronic guitar they use for dramatic scenes is seriously fucking awesome.
