For that matter, why are the robots called "Gypsy/Gipsy" anyway? What do the Romani people have to do with any of this? Is the movie going to have a stereotypical Gypsy Fortuneteller going to predict the film's main conflict or something?

Each bot has their own unique name (Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon) but each are a Jaeger, derived from the German word [I][ Jäger /I], meaning hunter.

Yeah, but I still don't get the Gypsy thing.
Maybe the Gypsy Danger has a higher Speed Stat while the Crimson Typhoon has a higher Attack Stat?

Yeah, I have no clue.

It's just a name given to the mech by it's pilots or crew to personalize it. I don't know if there's any real rhyme or reasoning behind it.

It's like naming a dog. A really big, mechanical dog used to fight monsters.

Why is Mazinger Z named Mazinger Z? Why is Raideen named Raideen? Why is Dangard Ace named Dangard Ace? Because the writer thought they were cool names. Same deal here.

Exactly. Maybe there will be a reasoning for it, but I doubt it. Either way they're cool names.

My favorite Jaeger so far is Australia's. It's like Striker Eureka or something like that. It's a beautiful robot.

That's it's name.

It is really awesome. It also has the best stats and highest killcount.
