Is there really going to be anything different aside from the packaging between the two Armored Red Ranger/TyrannoRanger releases?

I know with the regular Red and Green (Tyranno and Dragon) there was the Akibarangers items. Same with the upcoming KibaRanger (White Ranger), but I have not heard of any differences for any others.

Most likely not, there isn't any reason for the Japanese release to have anything Akiba-related.

I'm actually glad to see the USA release get moved a month earlier in its release, as it gives me a possible figure to straight up order without having to wait o3o. Also IDC about packaging as I have JP versions of Knight Survive and Ryu Ranger *I really don't know or care if Knight Survive got a bluefin release* .
