I'd say I feel bad for the people who paid a billion dollars for the gold plated White/Green Morpher... but I don't.
I wonder if there are any SuperMegaForce Armored Might guys coming... they have their own goofy charm. Edit: Nm, didn't see the like 9th pic. Marvellous is jacked up, haha.

Fuck me. How the spear is held in the Mega Dragonzord is still just the plastic/rubber "S" shape. Damn.

Huge thanks to the guys/gals on the ground getting these pictures under the threat of giant monster invasion.
![]() Keys: I like the look of them. Hopefully we get some from before MMPR Figures: They look way to beefy for my taste but that's what the american market likes. Wonder if we'll ever get any of the female rangers in the bigger figures. Role-Play: I don't like them but then again, I've never liked role=play toys. Mask Collection: I'm going to have to pick them up. The sillyness factor of them is limitless. Legacy Morpher: REALLY glad I didn't spring for one earlier. Green Ranger Stuff: Super excited for the dagger and the Dragonzord but also very, very worried as we have not seen anything of the actual toys. Just boxes. Will wait and see. Jumbo Megazord: Freak awesome! 2' tall and it transforms into the dino tank. It will be mine...oh yes. Megazord: I'm not surprised in the least that the chest gimmick has been removed from the figures. Bandai is most likely saving a ton of $$$ per figure by taking that feature out. Sadly what we are left with are ugly, black pegs. And that's a shame because it takes away from what would be a really good looking figure otherwise. Also, the weapon zords don't look that great. They appear to be of very poor quality but I will wait to truly judge them until I get my hands on them. One thing I can say I like is the idea that their will be a bunch of extra weapon zords that were not in Gokaiger. That has me a bit excited. We shall see. Overall a decent showing but the above are my knee-jerk reactions to the pics. Final judgement will wait until I get a chance to review them. |

I cant help but wonder what a lot of you are expecting..the PR toys have been like this for years and its not changing. These are toys that are marketed to kids from like pre school and up...honestly I said the same thing about the samurai zords my friend showed me but when put into certain modes the zord builder is not that far off from off its look same goes for the Gosei great and its auxiliary pieces. We knew from the get go that Gokai-Oh's opening gimmick would be nixed so dont act all "oh im disappointed because bandai didnt change what they have been doing for the last couple of years" The keys are not terrible and the head sculpts for them are better than Japans. and at least Blazing lion is somewhat to scale with its counter part. Seriously he could of been brought down to Delta Runner one or Mystic Dragon stature. and if the detail bothers you then paint it..At least we can agree on the Gold legacy morpher.
But I don't think it's unfair for people to expect BOA to step their game up at some point either. There's a small portion of that here that definitely looks improved, but much of what we see is more of the same. The Legacy stuff is aimed at collectors, as are the Japanese imports of Shinken Oh and Gosei Great. Personally I'd like to see them move more in that direction, especially since it's obvious that those products sell very well. And sure, you really can make their DX releases look somewhat like the toys and on screen mecha they're meant to represent. But they can never transform properly as they should, which can be a huge disappointment to people. They just don't hold up as compared to the originals. But look at the target demographic in Japan for Sentai vs here. Roughly the same age groups with massive differences in toy quality.

Really quick I want to touch on the gun/blaster, and while it does look terrible I can see why they did it like that. to cut cost and there is no way they were going to get away with how it originally looked.

Wondering what's going on with the little zords in front of the Megazord. It looks like they're using keys as weapons. It'd be cool if they somehow integrated the keys into Zordbuilder, but this just looks like an isolated case. Also, added key functionality on the lion. That's radical.
Those are still just pictures of the 90's toys on the Dragonzord box. |

I'll have to disagree on the Ranger Keys. Personally there's nothing wrong with the Japanese keys and this feels like a case of trying to fix what isn't broken. They're smaller, thicker, and less accurate for the sake of a flip gimmick that isn't all that necessary. I'll give BOA credit if they carry through with upgrade components for the megazord that were not present in Gokaiger though. That's unique and creative and is actually a way to convince me and other skeptics to buy their stuff again, just to see how crazy they can get with inventing new Grand Powers.

One thing I'm not surprised but very glad to see, Super Megaforce Masks. I'm definitely picking up Green. I hated the mega mode samurai green mask. It looked stupid. But now we get a normal green. And one of my favorites at that. It may not fit me, but I'll still probably wear it for kicks.

I see a lot of zord builder possibilities.
