He holds the sword differently too, I like those little touches that make this feel more like a alternate reality nightmare than just a boring nightmare, which would still be emotionally scaring for Kouta but boring for us is Yuya did everything exactly the same.

That was another good one. Kouta's dream was nicely engaging and did a good job of helping strengthen hisresolve for what comes next. I'm not sure why, since this was a largely unprecendented episode, but I got some really strong Ryuki vibes from this week's episode. As always, anything that reminds me of the early Heisei era's tone is good in my book.
I'd like to give a nice nod to the cinematography this week. The end of Kaito and Yoko's fight with the Watermelons looked really cool. It felt a little derivative of Koichi Sakamoto, but it's something we haven't seen Gaim do before and I really dug it. The bit at the end where Kaito and Micchy rushed each other looked really cool, too. There are still a lot of rider shows with better action, but Gaim is definitely stepping up its game. |

Maaaan, if Redyue had access to the internet she'd make quite the ruthless troll…putting Kouta through that nightmare was pretty harsh.
I'm a sucker for what if worlds, so this episode was right up my ally. Though I gotta say: Yuuya Gaim is kind of an asshole. |

Meh. More plot oriented filler.

How is it filler? The hostages are finally freed and Kouta is actually starting to show physical signs of being an Overlord. Plus, Kaito's so weak physically now that he's resorting to just targeting Micchy's belt. This is anything but filler.

This episode was good after having to wait two weeks.
![]() Lets see, we start off with Kaito and Minato bein badass, and Zack not showin up till they de-henshin ![]() Kouta goes straight into Kiwami and Ryouma is just "Ill think Ill let him have his moment, we can discuss evil villian shit later" Kaito frees everyone by kickin the shit out of the machine. Pahfekt. Oh and Kaito and Micchy start to fight while Mai talks to DJ Sagara. I hope somethin good comes of that little talk.

So Ryoma has a cloaking device built into his driver. Of course he would.
I love how they made an effective use of the stock filming locations to have Kouta mirror Hase's last hours. Although, the dialogue between Kouta and Redyue reminds me a lot of the ending of Spec Ops: The Line...

You think by now Ryoma would just make his own belt for kicks with all his nooks and cranny.
