In terms of Mecha/Zords, the Ninnranger/Ninja Steel ones just seem really clunky (and normally I like Clunky) and the little guy sitting in the seat in the chest just seems goofy (and normally I'm fine with goofy) to me.

It is because of the whole karakuri concept they got going on. They had it intentionally clunky the way I see it. However I do agree it takes a while to get used to.

Gogo-v had the mosnters designs of the 90's. He looks weird i agree but don't looks like ridiculous.
