That would be really neat. I'm not a big Anakin Fan and never got into the Prequel Timeline but it would be cool to see nonetheless.

Aren't people speculating that Darth Plageuis might get revived in this new trilogy by Kylo Ren? I think if they flashedback to a Young Anakin Cold open in Episode 8 relating to the bigger menace, I think it would add weight as to this villain as an imposing threat.

Or you know what else would be cool? Live action Clone Wars for a scene or two.

Couldnt tell you. Not really big into the fandom and the discussions about certain stuff. Would be cool but I dont know how much Kylo and the Knights of Ren are actually involved with the Sith. So far we only know that Kylo has a giant obsession with Vader.

I heard this cool theory that Kylo Ren's Vader obsession is even down to his normal face, trying to sort of like Anakin (although that could be a coincidence due to Adam Drive's shitty fuckin' mug). SO if we get little things like that connecting back to the prequels, it makes me a bit less worried they'll get retconned.

Why would they retcon the Prequels? Rebels uses elements from it, so there's definitely no inmediate plans to do so.

I wouldnt be worried about the Prequels getting retconned. There is always the possibility of them not acknowkledging them in the story itself but they still happened. The story still matters.

It would be cool if they go back to those stories for the sequels because that would also give them the chance to fix problems the newer movies had and fill in blanks that kinda got unanswered for people like me who don really care for EU stuff.

Just ideas people have been throwing around since Disney has been doing stuff Star Wars fans have been wanting for years. The biggest thing fans have been loud about is that the Prequels suck, so some people think Disney will listen to them and retcon it out.

I don't know if it would affect them from a financial stand point (unless they remade the Prequels as the "canon" versions), but I think it would cause a bad fan reaction among the young, unrepresented Star Wars fans if like a 1/3rd of the franchise just up and disappeared like that.
