It seems to be a common trend that when you start bring a new powerup you have to hype it so much to make it seem good, only for it to be beaten by the next eventual powerup.

Of course this is what happens with most shounen series that go on for this long. Probably going to get something like super saiyan god super saiyan 2 in a couple years time from now.

I don't mind Freeza's new form now. People thought to see a form similar to Coola's 5th form and huge hulk forms like Coola's 5th form is not really Toriyama's style. Huge hulk forms are always a Toei thing which is why Garlic Jr, Super 13, Broly and Bojack have similar looking transformations.

Cooler was designed by Toriyama. Both his base form and the evolved one.

You know why I like SSJ4 so much?

He would be the ideal design for an adult Goku if Toriyama didn’t decide to go into space and make him an alien, and instead focus more on mythological stuff. Goku would grow to be the king of the apes, hence growing fur and wild hair. And the evil Dragons would still be a perfect end to the series, since it is named "Dragonball".

But yeah the original Dragonball kicked ass, I still like Z more though.

You know that is a cool reason to like ssj4 form, I like thinking it through that way and I have never thought it through that much.

I liked both dragonball and z, still not particularly fond of Gt though.

The Shadow Dragons was the best saga in GT in my opinion but it could have been much better in my opinion. The saga should have everyone go around to fight each seven Shadow Dragon and not just Goku and Pan. Not to mention all of the Shadow Dragons where pretty lame expect for Shu Xing Long (Nova Shenron) and San Xing Long (Eis Shenron). I think one of the biggest issue with GT for me was that show focus too much on Goku and Pan. Everyone else felt like jobbers to me.
