Again, there was no issue. You only need to see the Captain America movies to understand Civil War. Of course, since we have all seen all of the prior movies, I guess that is no way to really prove it.
Your dyslexic joke doesn't make sense to me. |

That wasn't a joke, but a comparison, albeit a flawed one

First off, can someone tell me what happened at the end? LMD Coulson wakes LMD May up and tells her she has been off for too long and then it just abruptly cut to the news without actually finishing the show.
Secondly, am I the only one that found this episode to be down right boring? The whole plot was a snoozefest and the CGI to make May look younger in the flashback scenes was awful. I'm also finding the Superior to be hands down the worst villain in the entire MCU. His motivations are so petty and generic. "I don't like Inhumans because they got powers and I didn't, wahwahwah." "I want you dead Coulson because you got my men killed for failing their mission. Wahwahwah." Give me a freaking break! Seriously, how much longer is this damn arc going to last? How did this season go from really incredible to borderline bland? Legends of Tomorrow's first season was far more exciting than this. Oh I can't wait until iZombie comes back so I can have something good on Tuesday nights to watch (after Flash, obviously). |

First cast member of the Inhumans show has been revealed. Iwan Rheon, who I most know from playing Barry

Oh yeah, finished Luke Cage. Weakest MCU Netflix by far, it dragged on for too long, but was still rather enjoyable, especially Claire and Luke. Now we wait for Danny

I can not agree there. Luke Cage is the first of the Netflix shows I felt 13 episodes was not remotely enough. It was so well told, so beautifully shot, and feature a lot of great music (and I hate rap music), especially during the "live stage performances" in the club. It is tied with DareDevil's second season.
For me, JJ is the weakest as it was all over the place, it should have been only 8 episodes at most, and Jessica herself was an unlikable prick. David Tennant's role as Purple Man is what really made it work and he is hands down my favorite villain in the MCU right now (he will be taken down once Thanos becomes the main player). I'm not really looking forward to Iron Fist. I'm tired of plain clothes heroes and villains. I want to see costumed guy now, especially when it comes to villains. |

Iron Fist being plain clothes is disappointing because I love the Iron Fist look, not some bearded, homeless white boy.
Daredevil could get away with it because it was about his rise as a hero, and he dons the costume later. Jessica because her outfits were horrible, and Luke has been plain clothes for the past 20 years. But Iron Fist...Man... Luke Cage should've kept Cottonmouth for a lot longer. He was a hell of a lot more interesting than Diamondback's "EVIL BECAUSE I EVIL NI**A!" attitude. Also lost a lot of the nuance the Netflix villains had because Diamondback was so blatantly uninteresting with such a poor backstory. I think if they kept the villains to solely Cottonmouth, Shades, and Mariah, and had Diamondback remain a mystery for season 2, it would've been a lot stronger.

Luke Cage also has some stuff I simply can't believe happened
Diamondback becoming the main villain halfway through with a SINGLE namedrop as foreshadowing Diamondback succeeding with framing Luke for murder by yelling "I'M LUKE CAGE" and the police believe this despite the ending saying that there's proof that WASN'T Cage Shades nearly getting killed by 1 guy but the others do NOTHING despite Shades clearly fighting back Misty not having a password on her phone and having her contacts listed with their full names The police still thinking Cage is the bad guy during the hostage situation despite firearms being used when he doesn't need them Jessica Jones could have used a few episodes less as it dragged on too, but I at least enjoyed Kilgrave every time he was on screen. Yet I honestly couldn't give a shit about Diamondback and feel bitter that the amazing Cottonmouth just didn't get more screentime

Funny story about Diamondback and Cottonmouth. When they mentioned their names at the start of the show I thought they were going to be the Serpent Society guys. I know next to nothing beyond the basics of Luke Cage, so I had no idea there were regular goons with those names in the comics.
BTW, another thing I loved about Luke Cage is how it was harkening back to the blacksploitation films of the 70s. EDIT: Tonight's Shield: 1. How the hell was this the end of the arc? IT'S STILL GOING!!!! 2. OH FOR THE LOVE OF... GRANT, REALLY??!!! God damn it I knew it was too good to be true for him not to appear in this season. I even made that comment month's ago. 3. This episode was utter dog crap and has made this entire arc pointless. 4. Great, so now we are going to deal with them trying to free their minds from the Matrix for the next 8 episodes? :wall: 5. What happened in the end? Ada woke the Russian dude up and showed him the Darkhold, but then it cut off (AGAIN!) for the news. Last edited by Dr Kain; 02-22-2017 at 12:34 AM.. |
