Whatever I feel like at the time. Again, the benefit to playing on simulators more than real life. I'm not really picky on what I'll at least try, but I generally only seriously try to learn decks that I like, which are usually battle-focused toolboxes.
Although, honestly, if we were talking about a deck that I would seriously consider for competitive play RIGHT now, it's either D/D/D's or Blue-Eyes, the former because I feel like a total badass when playing them, the latter because it's freaking Blue-Eyes White Dragon as a real competitive force for the first time I can remember. It's like what Charizard fans felt when they got the Megas. I really wish I could get ygopro to work on my laptop, it worked for a while actually but now it says that I'm missing some software so that kind of sucks.

Ooo, looking at that card, and it seems like it'd be pretty useful

It is a very useful card a must need if you want to get some powerful monsters out quick that need tribute or stuff like that.

Dark Armed Dragon helps with the deck too since a majority of these monsters are Dark types

Okay, so, Link summoning... Here's the best explanation I've found.
D/D/D's are FREAKING dead, but the mechanic puts a massive slowdown on Zoodiacs, so I guess that's a fair trade-off. Also, the first new Yugioh mechanic that actually inherently causes player interaction, so that's a plus. Nerfed Pendulum too, taking away their extra zones and thus cramping their S/T zones. Nothing to complain about there, as it's pretty much what they should of done in the first place. Oh, and holy crap, the specific zones actually matter. The last time they had anything to do with that mechanic was back in the trash fire that is Cyberdark Impact, which was over a freaking decade ago. |

I could not understand, in the slightest, how Link Summoning works.
Also, I got a Red-Eyes deck, so I guess I count as a Red-Eyes Black Dragon stan

It's fairly simple. Link Monsters go in the extra deck and you summon them by sending the materials listed on them from the field to the graveyard. It's basically like a fusion summon you have to use monsters on field for.
What's more complicated is how they interact with the new Extra Monster Zones. |

Link Monsters themselves are simple, but the changes in mechanics when it comes to summoning from the extra deck is why it's all so confusing.
So now you can only special summon 1 monster from the extra deck, and it goes into the special zone above the other monster card zones. Unless it's a Link Monster, who will "Unlock" zones for your other Extra Deck monsters to be summoned into your normal field, indicated by arrows on the Link Monsters. The problem is that so many sources do such shit jobs at explaining it (Or, like in your video) go through it so quickly that it's just so hard to follow. Then, trying to throw the Pendulum rule change into the mix just jumbles things up even further.
