Watched Kamen Rider OOO, I really really enjoyed that first episode and Eiji is such a wonderful character. I'm definitely continuing with this one.

I watched Let's Go raw, was able to surprisingly understand a lot. What I didn't understand is how shit just kind of shows up. Like how did OOO have a Ridevendor in the future? Where did all the riders and their machines come from? Thematically this isn't a problem, just a weird "what." Maybe it was one of the bits I didn't understand. Overall it was great and seeing the old riders I don't know was neat. Like the evolution of the image of Riders in motion. I feel bad for not recognizing the guy who played the grown up glasses kid since I'm sure he's an important person in Kamen Rider, though he was the other kid's dad? Interesting?

Speaking of, Den-O seems to have an increasingly, and frustratingly, shift in focus on children as time goes on. I don't like kids. They're gross and dumb because they haven't been alive long enough to know stuff. Yet nearly half the movie was just them. I absolutely disagree. All the Riders came from the memories of the people. I don't know how that worked if the altered future meant that no Riders beyond 1 and 2 were ever created, but...Decade.

Anyway, it seems that you've hit the last Den-O movie (Though Wikipedia claims Super Hero Taisen is a Den-O movie).

But it's the one good scene in the movie. Momo proclaims himself a Red Ranger of Den-Onger.

But yeah, great movie, all the riders in rollcall were badass, seeing Shotaro and Philip again was nice, and TaMaShii was nifty. Also probably one of the better combo jingles. But really, it's bitter sweet that the ultimate ending to Den-O lacks Ryoutaro in any fashion. Especially when you realise that Ryuutaros, Kintaros and Urataros all possessed Momotaros... so it's a rider that's an Imagin possessed by other Imagin... begs the question of why Ryoutaro was ever even needed. You know what I would have done? Given Koutaro the original Den-O belt. Then add Teddy to Climax Form Seig-style. (or have Climax form just weild the Teddy sword) That way we had the ultimate Den-O in the final battle. Also, why does the new belt have the coloured buttons if New Den-O only has one form? |
