Also I'm still chilling in the *Dairanger is overrated and actually pretty ass* clubhouse. Feel free to join me, we have Goseiger, Go-Busters, Liveman and Jetman DVDs.

I too shall join you. Dairanger just never clicked for me. And the middle finger of an ending certainly didn't help matters.

Epic 11. Megaforce is honestly baffling. Why would they skip this episode? I assumed that Drake (what was he called in Megaforce? He was so insignificant I can't even remember his name) just wasn't a very active part of Goseiger which is why he wasn't in like eighteen of twenty episodes. He had basically a single episode involving him, one where he died, and thanks to terrible editing its place in the story made no sense. For whatever reason Megaforce left the roles of Dereputa and Buredoran largely intact, albeit compressed, but then completely cut out the role of the most important villain of this section of Goseiger. Whaaat? Whhhy? And if you were going to do that, why introduce him like he was the main villain of the show? Vrak's importance wasn't a twist, because for about fifteen of the twenty episodes he was the only general level villain in the show. Gaaaah, Goseiger's goodness only makes Megaforce's shittiness shittier. Datas Hyper was also super cool. As far as comic relief robots go, Datas is actually useful so I don't find him that annoying and the fact he turns into a giant boxing robot, that looks like a throwback to the classic sentai robo designs pleases me in so many ways. If I was going to have any complaints, as far as a character focused ep goes, the character stuff in this episode was pretty weak. The cold open of Moune dancing gave me the same creepy voyeur feeling as when Amy rode on that unicycle, and that was about the end of her out of suit focus. I loved how she got to be especially badass in suit as this was her episode - seriously how good was the action in this episode? For a show that was introduced as light hearted and goofy, I never expected to find some of the flashiest and most well done fights in the franchise - but from a show that has largely strong characters, this was a poor effort for Moune. Plus, for a show that has largely managed to stay focused on the bigger picture, this episode felt selfishly small. I know that it is a little girl (cry audience, don't you feel the wrath of this cheap device?!) but if her operating theatre is down, so are all the others, so the fact Datas focuses the power only to one theatre is actually pretty unheroic, as they directly choose who lives or dies.

But wih Goseiger, Brajira's backstory and motive and overall existence seems like it's coming from left field, BUT! Remember, Brajira is a Fallen Gosei Angel and a very skillful one. The Goseigers are strong, but they're still rookies and yet they destroyed 3 factions. I see Brajira's faction-hopping as Buredoran as him buying his time and making sure he had all the resources and knwoledge possible to destroy the world. Brajira could have easily crushed Warstar, the Yumajuu and Mechatlantis (I forget the name of that faction sometimes) single handedly. Also consider the bases of operation: Orbit, Underground, and and underwater robot science factory city. Brajira had perfect veiw of where he could drop his death spikes and how deep they'd need to go before he went to have th built. He hung out with 3 groups of losers so he could use their resources and then let the Goseigers dispatch them when they outlived their usefulness. And then there's the reason why he didn't just do this from Epic 1: With the Tower of Heaven destroyed and only five Gosei Angels on Earth, he could force them into becoming strong enough that he could do to them what he did to his own team but without worrying about being overpowered. Then he could destroy the world, freak out Gosei World, and then when the other Angels finally are able to (if ever) get to him, he'll be a dark super soldier in power that no amount of playing cards can stop him. But that's just my interpretation. I'm probably missing some details as to why that wouldn't work... Quote:

That sounds quite similar to (completey unfounded) complaints about the ending of Goseiger.
But that's just my interpretation. I'm probably missing some details as to why that wouldn't work... My favorite thing about him is the triumphant fanfare that plays during Hyper Change (especially on the toy). ANGELIC!!! ![]() ![]() Also, I need that Hyper toy. NEED.

Epic 12 aka more footage Megaforce skipped for reasons that I'm sure will never make sense.
Dunno who it says more about that our rookie angels are making the planet conquerors pull out their big guns! Nah, just joking, I think this show handled the whole Rocky plot arc very well, all things considered. And I love the way it plays with the genre, without insulting it to seem edgy, at the same time. The flashbacks with Dereputa and Drake were cool as well, even if the Warstars themselves are poorly handled over all. How fucking cool was it when they tried to destroy the planet with the moon?! And how funny was it when Dereupta said 'what kind of monstrosity is that?!'. We were all thinking the same thing! Hyper Gosei Great is a right mess. I'm gonna miss these guys, and if Megaforce is anything to go by, the villains never get cooler than the Warstar aliens.
