 Honestly that might not be the true reason. I believe it's a marketing standpoint since the shows are one huge giant toy commercial HG kits are more easily made and easier to produce. Theres only been a small bit of them that got the MG treatment in realitly such as this guy...   Oh and this guy  Then there is the Build MK. II but nobody cares about him.
