I bought a Pikachu 3DS XL specifically for X&Y, no regrets.

Even if the game does turn out to suck, even though I'm really excited, it's been really nice to go back and play some of the old Pokémon games and the ones I never got to play.

I forgot just how attached to your team you can get, even in a largely primitive game like Pokémon, I also forgot just how amazingly hard and frustrating the games can be at times, largely by forcing you into arduous grinding patches.

Am i the only Pokemon player who always picks the female trainer? I'm not sure why.

I'd have to spend all my money on potions

To be fair it did actually case problems to be so attached for me.

I found the Elite Four on White One so difficult, because of the huge level jump between what I needed to defeat the final gym and to defeat them, the amount of time I spent on that game stretched on and on and so when I finally defeated the Elite Four and found myself flying through the last part of the game I had grown such a bond with my team, that when the game had finally finished and I loaded up White 2, I just didn't really...care...I couldn't do it, it just wasn't the same.

I can't do a Nuzlocke, ever. Pokémon just has too much time and emotional investment in it, so it's quite impossible.

Even if it wasn't heartbreaking, I would feel it was a massive waste of time.

No you aren't. Back when Diamond and Pearl came out, people apparently picked the female trainer because the male one wore a beret.

Though, I will say I'd probably pick the female trainer for X and Y, because the male trainer looks too much like the one from Black 2 and White 2, who in turn looks too much like the male trainer from Black and White.

My problem with W2/B2 was that I accidentally sneezed and made it through halfway through the game. Jeez, that set of games were ridiculously easy...

I lost my Pikachu in my FireRed Nuzlucke and I stopped there

White 2 has been easier than White One so far, I got through the first couple of gyms without a full team.
