Gundam 00 episode 1
That opening theme makes me feel so nostalgic. Despite having watched the show for the first time less then a yer ago. A wild herd of Gundams appears! Aeolia Shenberg used confuse ray! It was pretty smart how they drew out the AEU forces. But oh my god the acting in this episode. Its so deadpan. Maybe its just because the actors of the Gundam meisters were getting into thier roles and this is how they are supposed to sound but good god there's so much deadpan. I also forgot how much of a fatass Gundam Virtue was. Episode 2 "I am a Gundam" Sure you are Setsuna. And my 7 year old cousin wants to grow up to be a dog. That armed intervention was pretty cool. Just the insane Gundams fighting those tank like suits. And the governments stumbling over themselves to find out about the Gundams. I like the fact that they don't side with anybody, as the show itself does bring up how everybody is pushing one side in a lot of these local wars. One of the things I love about this series is that the design of mobile suits is logical. The cheap ones that all of the local armies use look like walking tanks, while the Gundams are highly stylized and powerful due to them being custom made, with the 3 Earth group's suits being somewhere in between. I downloaded the episode in HD and my god does this show look glorious in HD. The suits look amazing and the action is bright. Granted, if you look at it up close, it looks bad but I love the HD look. Last edited by Powerman293; 05-20-2014 at 11:24 PM.. |

Kinda shocked it hasn't happened yet. But with all the anime being done by so many groups I guess it'd be difficult to maintain.

Not only that, but even when anime is released it's released in such a way that makes it almost unbuyable. I can't physically afford to collect a twenty five episode series if you're going to break it up and price those parts so high that I've spent almost a hundred quid before I'm done. Heaven to think if I wanted a fifty episode series or longer.

Loved Carnival Phantasm. It had...
A heart warming scene: ![]() And some funny ones: Overall, it was a nice and funny mash up of characters from the Fate series and Tsukihime Series.

Gundam 00 episode 3
God I love this show's fights. When the Exia fights, it dances, swinging across the battlefield using its sword to cut enemies clean. I also like how each pilot has a different view on certain interventions. For example, lock-On really didn't like doing his mission but Alleujah was happy to drop tens of fire bombs. Its nice to see the governments being proactive in trying to understand the tech behind the Gundams. And trying capture plans already. The intervention this episode wasn't all that special. |

Started Black Lagoon, watched two episodes and enjoying it. This is also one of the very few shows where I've chosen to watch the dub over subs, which has been an interesting change of pace from what I'm used to. So far though it seems like this has a pretty good one, at least in regard to the main characters.

Pretty Cure 01.
Cure Black for the win, who knew that playing lacrosse would be a more translatable skill for superheroing than being a genius? I guess Scott McCall... Honestly the choice to focus on characters, in a world that isn't nearly as forced with its girliness, made this opening episode a lot more enjoyable than Charge and Heartcatch. And sure there still IS girliness before someone goes "But...", but here it feels naturalistic, and they didn't drown every second in it. There was even princessiness to the fighting in the other shows, but here it feels like they're focusing on a cohesive story, rather than trying to appeal to a demographic they know nothing about. I guess this one actually has women working on it, or at least a female test audience. The opening battle was really great too. Pissard seems threatening, which makes a change for the villains I've met in these shows so far, even with his silly appearance and even sillier name. Hell even the Precure were more awesome this time, from the transformation to that combined attack. Damn.
