I like to think the peak of Jason's character is in the Turbo movie when he gets possessed and just walks around grunting.

I think the only time Jason's character evolved beyond white bread generic leader was when he failed at saving Tommy's powers.
And even then, the next episode he was back to his normal self.

You could give the man a pair of sunglasses and the entire viewing audience would have no idea who this man was, like in Zeo.

Trini was the closest to not being a generic character stereotype, and that's only because I honestly don't remember her even having a character beyond "She was nice."
