I really don't feel that way. Wiseman had uncontested control over the Phantoms, Fueki had no concern over the lives of others. Why would he pit Haruto against the Phantoms?
If he needs Haruto, but Haruto resisted Fueki, why doesn't he just brainwash Haruto like he did Yuzuru and Green Mage (Forgot his name)? Where did Fueki get the Mage rings when Wajima resolved to not create rings for him, anymore? If the Mage rings were created the same time as the Wizard rings, why were Haruto's rings different? It feels more like they just tied all the dangling plot threads together and shrugged by having Fueki walk on set and just explain everything, rather than let the story come together as it should have.

![]() Haruto really hasn't resisted so far, though. He's had questions, but he hasn't openly rebelled so far. And up until now he's had an important role to fill - stop the spread of the Phantoms and keep the Philosopher's Stone charged without using any of Fueki's own Mana. I'm not sure how easy the mind control is, either, given that Mayu has plenty of free will, too. It may have just been something he busted out when Yuzuru and Todoroki resisted. Quote:

Two, Wajima did make the Mage rings, but Fueki only wanted and/or needed one full Wizard to take care of the Phantoms. Given Haruto's ability to rise above the limits of the powers Fueki gave him and create the Infinity Ring, it makes sense that Fueki would fear what four full-fledged Wizards could do if they all chose to resist. Will Haruto have a chance to become the Dragon Phantom and will Nitoh sacrifice himself to stop the Sabbath?
