SMF is by no means "Good" (Or even "Decent"), but Gokaiger sucked too much shit for me to enjoy.

I enjoy it more. Watching older episodes anyway, and I think it has to do with how much I love Power Rangers as a whole. And how much I compare them while watching a season of Sentai I've seen as Power Rangers.
Kamen Rider doesn't really have that. I don't remember much of Masked Rider and I missed Dragon Knight completely when it aired. So it's all new and fresh.

Exactly! Some people like Gokai, due to the toys of the suits, but just 200 suits crammed in there SMF can at least have more room to breath.

Even as bad as SMF can be sometimes I still watch every episode, and will watch Dino Charge next year. Until it does something I don't like that should've been like Kyroyuger in which case I'll nerdrage uncontrolably.

Well if I go ahead and watch the Sentai version first then the PR version I know that for the most part the general plot will be borrowed.

Now the reason I got into sentai is because to see how the shows were originally or how they will adapt. With rider that doesn't happen.

Right. Rider is fresh in our eyes, untouched for lack of a better word. But for the most part the plot isn't all that borrowed in Power Rangers. Samurai was but.. I can forgive that to a degree.
