I've made a few revisions to my original theory/speculation that I came up with back in June regarding the story for how Gokaiger could be adapted into Mega Force. Here's what we know so far (if I'm missing anything feel free to notify me):
-Goseiger suits will be used for both seasons. No word on the Gokaiger suits, so it's safe to assume that this will be like MMPR season 2, what with the addition of only Gokai Silver to the cast. -Gosei Knight/RoboKnight will appear much earlier in the show, though I'm going to assume he'll be a supporting character along the lines of Blue Senturion and Sentinel Knight, and not an actual Sixth Ranger. -Gokaioh will be in the show, but again, no word on the Gokaiger suits. -Goseiger will be season 1, while Gokaiger will be season 2. -We're getting a re-shot Legend War with only Power Ranger teams, assuming we get the US-exclusive Rangers as well (i.e. Titanium Lightspeed Ranger, Jungle Fury Spirit Rangers). As far as the story for Mega Force goes, there's no way it will be a direct translation of Goseiger for the first half. From what the promos say, it feels like it's going to be a rehash of the story from MMPR season 1, what with the whole "giant head and robot assistant choosing five teenagers with attitude" thing. I don't mind that, it's just going to be something to get used to again. Of course, Dino Thunder was the last season to do the whole "Rangers in high school" deal, so this story shouldn't be new. Now, onto my crazy speculation as for how Gokaiger will be adapted, taking the information we know so far into consideration. This is going to be very long: The Warstar Aliens, after many failed attempts at beating the Rangers, decide to call the Zangyack Empire as a last resort/trump card, and they invade Earth in full force, kind of like Countdown to Destruction from In Space. The Mega Force Rangers and Robo Knight attempt to fight them off, but in the process, all the Zords get destroyed, including Gosei Great Megazord. The Zangyack army is too great, and the Rangers are forced to retreat, but the foot soldiers of the Zangyack (let's call them Clankers) chase after them. The Rangers hide in a forest, and just as the Clankers are about to finish them, a familiar Power Sword is seen striking away one of the Clankers' gun/cudgel things, followed by a Zeo Power Sword as well. Jason and Tommy have arrived as Mighty Morphin' Red and Zeo Ranger V. The Mega Force Rangers are in shock, seeing two more Red Rangers. Tommy explains that Zordon's spirit contacted Gosei, who in turn contacted every available Power Ranger team to help them stop the combined Zangyack/Warstar threat. Jason says that the other Rangers will be with them shortly. But as a Sugormin (let's call them Bludgers) is about to hit Jason, a familiar Shadow Saber stops the Bludger. Doggie (as SPD Shadow Ranger), along with SPD Kat Ranger, Magna Defender/Mike, Blue Senturion, Lauren/Female Red Samurai Ranger, Sentinel Knight, Jared, Camille, Udonna/White Mystic Ranger, and Leanbow/Wolf Warrior, come to aid their fellow Rangers, giving them time to escape to the battlefield. Cue epic re-shot Legend War footage, with the Mega Force and Mighty Morphin' Rangers leading the charge amongst the many Rangers from the past, present, and future (as well as some from different dimensions...RPM ![]() Tommy: So what's this I hear about your Q-Rex eating my Dragonzord for lunch any day? Eric: Seriously? You bring this up NOW of all times? That was eleven years ago! *Punches a Clanker* Give it a rest! Tommy: Just saying...I'd like to see that happen. Eric: Ugh. All the Red Rangers (including the extra ones) and the Mega Force Rangers go after the Warstar Leader (name escapes me at the moment, sorry), who attempts to overpower the Reds, but the combined might of the Red Rangers' finishing moves mortally wound him. He decides to self-destruct the ship, willing to take the Rangers down with him, as the explosion will not only destroy all the ships in the area, but also all the Rangers fighting on the ground as well. One of the Power Rangers gets an idea to use their suits to absorb the explosion, but another one says that they won't be able to contain that much raw power. Jason and Tommy decide that the only way to stop the explosion from killing them all is that they sacrifice their Ranger Powers to the Mega Force Rangers so that they have the strength to move the ship away from Earth so that the explosion won't harm anyone. The Mega Force Rangers are reluctant at first, but Robo Knight tells them that it's their duty as Power Rangers to save the universe, and now is the time (another nod to Zordon's speech to Andros in Countdown to Destruction). They allow the previous Ranger teams to give them their powers in the form of Ranger Cards (since the Goseiger suits will be used for both seasons), which gives them enough power to move the ship away so that it explodes, and the remaining ships are ordered to fall back, one monster saying that Dark Specter (who can be Ackdos Gil) will be furious about this. However, in the ensuing process, the Ranger Cards are scattered throughout the galaxy. Season 1 ends with the Mega Force Rangers creating new Zords (which is where Gokaioh can come in) and venturing into space to find the Ranger Cards. Season 2 begins a year later, with the Zangyack Empire returning, with Poseidark (Walz Gil), Dark Specter's son, overseeing the conquest of Earth. The Mega Force Rangers return with all the Ranger Cards they've found (minus the Sixth Ranger and Supporting Hero Cards), and from then on, it's more or less a direct adaptation of Gokaiger, only they become different Power Ranger teams, either using any available Gokaiger footage or by creating American footage. I'm not sure how Gokai Silver will be introduced, though he might as well be a Power Ranger fanboy in Mega Force season 2 and uses Ranger Keys instead of Ranger Cards to morph. Basco's going to be a tougher nut to crack, seeing as though he was Gokai Red's rival/personal nemesis in Gokaiger. Maybe he'll be a bounty hunter who hunts down the Mega Force Rangers in season 2. That's all I've got, but I think this could work. Quote:

You did not just say that. Gosei Knight is the part of this show I look forward to most. Making him not sixth ranger is like not letting TOMMY be in this show. Plus, if they market him as a sixth ranger, people will be willing to sepnd more money on him. So he will be. That's my logic anyway.

Why? Blue Senturion/Signalman didn't have an alternate identity. He wasn't a Sixth Ranger, yet he fought alongside the Turbo Rangers/Carrangers. I know Gosei Knight was a Sixth Ranger as far as Gokaiger goes, since Gokai Silver transforms into him from time to time, but this is the Americanized version. Gosei Knight didn't have an alter ego, so I highly doubt RoboKnight will have one either. Hell, the only Ranger that we never saw out of suit was SPD Omega Ranger, and he was a ball of light for the majority of that season.

I've been considering this. And would them going the way of the original season be that horrible? What if Gosei became the new Zordon? And instead of switching entire casts every year you just went new person to new person has the situation warrants? Like the old days.

I would still suspect the yearly cast/footage rotation to be more cost-effective with regards to the source material and tie-in toys.
But we'll have to see what Saban can do now. |

The only problem I see there is that they'd have to find a decent reason to drop team members when it comes to Go-Busters. Going from a 6 piece to a 3 piece (plus two was have lesser powers) might seem a bit jarring in a multi-season arc.
