If you like Game of Thrones/Song of Fire and Ice by George R. R. Martin, you might be interested to know that another series, "Wild Cards", will be adapted into comics by Marvel.

This is maybe more exciting to me than Game of Thrones? I'm not a fantasy guy, so I never read the Game of Thrones books (enjoyed the TV show), but I devoured the Wild Cards books as a teenager. Very fun real-world take on superheroes!

They're still in print, right? I looked this afternoon, thoroughly, and saw NOTHING to the effect of this series!

It was a series of paperbacks that were released in the early-90s (I'm so old!), with some hardcovers added as a relaunch later. I imagine anything that's out of print -- which is probably all of the original series -- will get reissued at some point.

Fun fact: this is actually Marvel's second run at adapting Wild Cards. It came out from their (now-defunct) Epic imprint. I should go back and re-read that collection soon...

Indication at the possible extensiveness of the next Spider-Verse Movie? Just a random novelty item unconnected with any movie?
