If the monster are made from objects, using people like Edison make more sense: lightbulb, Billy the kid his guns.... the list goes on. Also keep in mind Ghost only needs 15 great men, so that leaves plenty of room for historical bads guys. Heck I'm ready to belive to you Ghost... now who you gonna call?

Just teasing. Been thinking about something: Since this show will feature historical Characters and thus some historical information don't some countries offer grants and/or tax breaks to such productions. Also if this a traveling series as the info seems to say think the main cast will be a smaller one like say Decade, Only having like 4-6 main characters would trim quite a lot off production costs.
