I watched the first episode of Akame Ga Kill, and I was sold in it in 44 seconds. I highly recommend it, I believe there is only 6 episodes so far. It's reminds of a JRPG kind of Tales of/Final Fantasy.
Also a character called Leone who is like a cat girl with big boobs and kind of similar to Yang from RWBY's personality. Like the most idiotic one I saw was. "Blake and Yang had a baby therefore Leone existed" Makes want to go slap one just because.

Finished watching Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and loved it. (Episodes 1 and 13 were written by Gen Urobutchi which was kind of strange.) Right now I'm watching Oreimo. So far it's not bad.

Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 3 : Eien no Tomodachi: Annual Precure movie! Team-up between DokiDoki and Happiness Charge! Usual deal!
There's a mystery illness hitting Japan, kids all over the world are falling into deep slumber and not waking up, when Megumi Aino aka Cure Lovely falls to it it's up to the Precure to solve the mystery of the dream world, the tapir fairies and return everything to normal. There's something off about the whole movie, I understand the crossovers take place in their own continuity but one of the main triggers for the plot to start is the fact that HapCha is the newest team around, something that goes around everything stablished in the show itself (where they simply are one of the many teams working globally), likewise the interaction between all the teams is minimal, they do their team up attacks in the end, but outside of the newst two team, (which work independently for most of the film) the rest of the Cures add nothing to the story, the Yes cast has some moments for breaking the illusion, but even so it's really minor and if you don't find a way to add the Precure of dreams and hopes into your movie about dreams and hopes... well... shame on you movie. There are also no real twists to speak of, besides the appearance of Echo. Humor is ok, the action is cool, and production values are great, seeing the Doki gang is great, there are fun nods and all in all it has the usual Precure charm. But as a whole it's just ok, not really great. Ok fine, seeing Moonlight and Ace is frigging awesome. Also is it just me or there was something off about Hime's voice? She sounded a little bit too deep. Last edited by algo448; 08-11-2014 at 09:49 PM.. |
