Just dropping in to say that, even now a decade on, GoBusters Returns feat the Dobutsu Sentai is still one of my favourite Sentai things. Presenting a more "Normal" series in snapshot clipshow form, the rise and fall of Atsushi, the general vibe of the Dobutsu universe, Nick and Beet J Stag, and God-who-looks-suspiciously-like-Enter. It's just really good, ya know?

That movie was, no joke, maybe my favorite toku viewing experience of the year. The first eight minutes or so I was like Man I Can't Believe How Grim And Serious This Thing Is... and then it pivots into one of the most consistently hysterical and reverent send-ups of Showa-era toku storytelling that I've ever seen, with a commitment to the bit that warms my heart just remembering it now. Absolutely faultless, and I'm probably gonna watch it at least one more time this year.
