These are Special Edition Keys, not exclusive. They will probably be transparent, shiny, or something. I am sure that if these keys were never planned for some kind release, they wouldn't be put in the tournament to begin with. You are assuming this is the only way, Den-O.

And if they are only available this way, then what's the point? There's only going to be 5 of these sets made. You're better off just making your own or pay someone for a custom.

Just because MMPR White & Green were tossed in here now you're assuming they weren't planned for release? That just doesn't make sense. People would eat those up. BOA will not miss the opportunity to make keys like that at all. I get that a chunk of this is all about the ranger we think is better, but at the end of the day it boils down to something having the possibility to exist that otherwise wouldn't at all, like Titanium & Phantom.

Nothing in the rules states that these keys won't be made available to the public either. Simply that 5 winners will get a set of them and the gold morpher as prizes. In no way is it suggested they won't be available for purchase as well at some point. I don't entirely see the point of them going through and producing all this stuff just for 5 people to own them. Some of these matchups are getting 40K+ votes on them. There's no way they'd do all this just to make a grand total of 5 of them ever. Or if that is what's happening then it's a pretty huge missed opportunity on BOA's part to make some serious cash.

The winning pack would be perfect for an SDCC release, for example. Not ideal, sure, but it would still be a release.

I haven't had any personal experiences to mar my general feelings towards JDF. I don't dislike him. But I do find it disheartening that he's somewhat spoiling the spirit of the competition.

I dont hate JDF myself, but this is just bullshit. The guy knows that his keys will get made. He already has two of them made as it is. With Green and White in planning I am sure. Dino Thunder Black is the only one... Oh wait, isnt it in the case lsiting for the Dino Thunder team pack? So Tommy is getting made. RJ, Ryan, Phantom, Udonna, and a ton others, might not. I swear BOA knew this shit would happen. They dont want to make more keys, theyd rather keep the MMPR fanboys happy.

I dont mean to sound hateful to anyone who still likes MMPR or is a major fan of it, but I just hate seeing the fans that think anything after MMPR or In Space is either shit or did not happen. To be hoinest, a lot of series are much better than MMPR. Those keys will get made, so how about we vote for the ones NOT Mighty Morphin?

Again, most of JDF's Rangers would go to Silver anyway, and I totally agree that There is No chance all 3 of his (Green,Black,White) won't be made, I mean, Saban can't be that big of a Bell-end can he?

All assumptions aside, here's the math. Of the 80 rangers in this tournament, 34 currently have no keys out on the market. Right off the bat the majority (58%) already have keys.

Of these 34 rangers without keys, at least 15 are either 6th rangers who are most likely being held back for fall because of SMF Silver (I even excluded some that might not count as 6th rangers to be the most fair) or MMPR (which is suppose to be getting a retail exclusive set of some sort). This leaves us with 19 rangers without keys or a known outlet for release.

That gives us gives 24% (19/80=0.2375=23.75%). 24% of this tournament has no known outlet for release. Even before taking out the 6ths and MMPR, 58% (48/80=0.575=57.5%) already have keys.

I ask all you, if this tournament was to decide which unplanned ranger keys would get released, then why is every single already released ranger in this tournament? Every single one of them. This is not the tournament's function. If that was the function, then none of the rangers with keys would be in this tournament. Remember that tournament Tokunation had for the best team? It's the same principle only with a trophy in the form of toys.



PS I used the lists from megaforcecast.com to check who does and doesn't have a key. I do not know how up to date it is, so forgive any keys that were counted wrong.
