Honestly, I'm kinda with Michhy on the topic of telling Mai what's going on. The absolute best outcome of her phenominally stupid 'tell everyone publicly' plan is that no one believes her. At worst, she could have started riots and pretty much played right into Yygdrasil's culling of the population. Anyone without a Driver is pretty much useless in this situation, and telling Mai will only lead to misery and death. It's a stupid move on Kota's part. To paraphrase Agent K from Men in Black: A person is smart. People, as a group, are stupid.
Not that the rest of Micchy's action here are justified, but the boy's clearly been going off the rails of mental stability ever since he got his first taste of being in control. Too bad he's too sneaky about it for anyone who could help him to notice. |

Micchy has become an even darker Sayaka.

Yep, Micchy's losing it (relatively speaking) and I see him just moving to a full on in the open enemy in 5 episodes at this rate. Baron Lemon is cool, just makes me more excited for AC Duke.

Episode was awesome!
![]() I liked Baron energy arms a lot more than I thought. Baron really needed a power boost, and his fight scene was pretty darn cool. Is it me, or is it every time Marika and Gaim fight it's always a blast to watch? Gaim is the uncontested most powerful Rider right now, he just doesn't have any allies. And also, who could talk about this episode without Micchy? It's saying something when Kaito has become a far more sympathetic character than he is, and I wasn't even on the Micchy hatewagon. ![]()

But letting her know about the part she can't do anything about? When she isn't smart enough to figure out she can't help, and will almost certainly do something stupid to get people killed, is definitly a bad idea. And if Micchy had let her go ahead with her announcement, it probably would have put her at the top of Yygdrasil's hit list. And unless Kouta's willing to spend all his time guarding her and the other Beat Riders, there's absolutly nothing that can stop and handfull if Kurokage troopers (and/or Sid or Yoko) from taking them out. |

Honestly, Kouta did the right thing telling her.
Everyone has been lying and keeping things from Mai to protect her, to keep her ignorant. That's unfair. Kouta should've told her, and let her decide what to do. She's not a pawn, or a infant, she's a person and deserves to know. She's old enough to make her own decisions and doesn't need to be protected from the truth. If she messes up with what she knows, that's on her, but Kouta shouldn't have to babysit and lie to her. Tell her and talk to her about it. Plus the scene makes it look like it just sort of spilled out. I don't think he wanted to tell her everything, but he did, and he should have. Narratively speaking, it's long overdue. Her blissful carefree ignorance was getting grating and painful. Kouta's had the weight of killing his friend on his shoulders and the knowledge that the whole city is a testing ground, and she's just dancing around. She needed to find out before the audience began to resent her for it. |

Yes, by bringing Mai and the Beat Riders into the fold it'll give them a bit more relevance as the plot unfolds. Pretty well handled, in my opinion.
