I'd be surprised if Bandai even makes it halfway through all of the teams before they give up. Bandai isn't exactly the best at committment.

If it's gonna be 6 per wave, and they're splitting the teams in the wave so that any given wave isn't one set of rangers, it's gonna be a little tough for them to stand their ground, especially with teams of 3 being rather sparse.

I like the way the BAF figures look, especially the Astro Megazord...but I'm not a fan of the ranger figures. What's with the abs? Even if I was though, I don't feel the need to purchase the entire team...but I suppose the whole point of the BAF pieces is to get you to spend more, eh?

Okay, so I saw these guys in the store today and they look so much better in person than they do in the pictures. I love the size, but sadly, they won't go well with my Figuarts collection.

I just bought the whole set, got home, looked at them for about five minutes and I went right back to the store to return them. I was really excited about these and I really like the idea but spending over $100 on 5 figures that I still think need some work just isn't worth it for me. If they would have taken out the abs and resculped the shoulders, I would have had no problem keeping them but they really bothered me seeing them in person. Also, it's a bummer that they don't include all their weapons. Oh well. I can still see being temped by these when In Space comes because I don't really have anything for that show but I can skip another Red and Green MMPR figure and Ninja Storm just isn't that important to me.

To be frank, the main appeal to me is the Build a Figure, as the Megazords/Mecha I wanted most didn't get SRC figures. I really hate that, even when basically pointing a line to be appealing to collectors, they still couldn't resist giving them sculpted abs.
Thank goodness the mech I want the most is part of a 3 man team...Now I just need to pray they hold true to their promise of "Every ranger" and reaches that team in a timely fashion.

I bought the Mighty Morphin Red and Green figures today...
I'll say this...if the Figuarts did not exist, these would be dang near the ultimate Power Ranger figures to have even with the lack of stuff so they can have a build-a-zord gimmick. Honestly though IMO...I don't see this line getting to 'every ranger'. $20 a figure is still a hard pill for me (and I'm sure others) to swallow on a 6 inch figure. The lack of accessories doesn't help, and the weird torsos on the girls and still too muscular abs on the dudes when they seemed to push this line more towards collectors/long time fans... I give it maybe three waves and that'll probably be that. They'll at least finish the Mighty Morphin team of course, but I don't see S.P.D., Lightspeed Rescue, or even Dino Thunder happening sadly.

Well first and foremost, you just got people like m who never got any of the rangers and would just like to have them. No they aren't perfect but at this point with various figures it's an option. I don't know if they will get every ranger either but it's easier then not really if the sales are steady. The molds are pretty much the same. They don't need to totally redesign them. Make the Male figure and make the female figure. Use the same torso molds for each figure. As to the ab's? Blame Marvel and DC, just the way it is over here. At least they aren't huge like in other toys. The price? $20 vs the price for the Figuarts? Really this isn't a bad price. Was anyone expecting them to charge like $5 or $10 for these things. That's a pretty fair price to me. That is amazingly average. I was expecting like $30. 6inch (actually more like 6.5 inches) figure with quite a bit of detail. 20 is a pretty good deal. I get it if you are super tight on funds but at the rate they plan to release. I think if you want to get them all and you have a steady job, not that bad. If your plan is to get every single one, what exactly where you expecting? That's a lot of figures so it's just simply going to add up. Now as to which teams they do? For all you know they are jumping around and the next wave may include the others. I can't see the future, either Bandai will or won't. But if they see these things being profitable, they will continue to release them. These things are not Figuarts, don't try to make them be that. Look at the price and the quality. Look at where you can get them. This line isn't for those folks who want super show accuracy and just perfection. This is for the people who just want to own it and have something that looks nice. I get the muscles bother some people, for me they look more appropriate next to Thor or Superman. |

I'm actually most interested in the BAF Megazords, but the Megazords I want either won't be available with these figures (How would they release Thunder Megazord without Dairanger suits?) or I don't really like the suits that much, so I don't want the figures (LOVE the Astro Megazord, not a fan of the In Space suits.) We'll see as more come out.
