Checked out Blade 02 to make sure I wasn't making a mistake and this was a great episode. I love the idea that they capture the monsters they defeat in cards for attacks, I love villains that actually have a threat level and I love evil Riders. The action sequences are pretty impressive for an older series and that third Rider had a really cool design, even if we're back to Kamen Rider gibberish.

The only real problem I have is they picked so many males with similar faces and haircuts I have a hard time telling who the hell is who in some scenes.

Episode 3 is pretty meh to me as well, but I'd still give the series a go whenever you have a chance. The series is mostly just about having fun with it's concept and it's characters.

But Blade is also pretty good so far, so...yeah.

When you have episodes about nothing that early on then it's really worrying but I actually genuinely enjoyed the second episode of Blade.

Don't worry about male leads. You'll be able to pick out Tachibana/Garren as Libra

And the card concept never made sense to me, but I do like how it's implemented. Gives a character incentive to take out a villain just because it means they also get a new attack or power in doing so.

And I remember the Undead speaking English. I think they drop the gibberish thing.

So Libra is a villain in one show and a Rider in the other with a name from one of the heroes in the other show he is in. MENTAL.

I know after all my hating on OOO that I should be harsher on magic playing cards but come on this is Japan, they have giant monster attacks on a daily basis and half their technology is made out of playing cards, right? At least that is what I got from their animation and superhero stories.

I'm glad they drop the gibberish.

Yeah. It blew Gentaro's mind too in the Net Movies

I never had a problem with magic trinkets. They're just one of those things that I accept will be in a Henshin Hero show. If they're explained, then awesome, if not, I try to not let it phase me.

And yeah, I honestly don't remember the Undead speaking in anything other than Japanese (It'd be odd for them to be speaking English ), so they do drop it, but I can't give you a time frame for when.

As long as I know they drop it sooner or later I'm not too worried. Especially if they replace it with dericious engrish.

It doesn't but I didn't plan on watching like thirty episode of each series to make up my mind that completely defeats the point, "well I'll pursue this series then!..oh I finished it already." I wanted to give it one or two episodes to decide what to pursue.

Alright, I guess I get it. That's like the opposite of me, honestly. If I start a series, I refuse to not finish it. It'll have to do something truly horrible to make me completely drop it.

I only started them because they were my suggestions as to watch next and it was a choice between two.

I think the only Kamen Rider series I've actually dropped, not just fail to finish (Like Amazon), was Faiz.
