We could make it fairly inexpensive and go with 1/144 scale. Make it easy on ourselves and just pick a toku character of your choice for the first go, and go more specialized for future builds.

Well I think it should be more theme then kit.Also start with easy themes too.Don't wna make too complicated of one and drive some people off cause they can't/don't wna do it.

Doesnt even have to be toku characters,just any theme in general.I always wanted to make a zombie apocalypse Gundam model.One with blood splatters around the feet and cockpit while the rest of the suit looks all weathered and broken.

A post apocalyptic theme might work out nicely, those with the skills will have the chance to go all crazy, meanwhile the rest of us can try out new techniques; such as weathering, damage, and so on.

I'm open to any idea if we're able to get it off of he ground.

Alot of group builds I see are when everybody gets the same kit and customizes it in their own style, then every body compares them together. Like a really awesome Re-Zel build I saw on an Aussie Gundam board a few weeks back.

That was just an example, we could start with the grandaddy HG Gundam.
