Tamers is the best season. It was more... mature, especailly when Juri lost Leo and went all insane. |

![]() Tamers introduced me to my all time favorite Digimon, Dukemon/Gallantmon ^^ Quote:
And Tamers is more mature, that's probably one reason why I prefer it. It was a nice change of pace from the somewhat cartoony (Even in the original Japanese) Adventure and 02. The entire Juri thing was great, though it did drag a little too long... Quote:
Not helped by the fact that they lost for like 10 episodes straight against Dynasmon and Crusadermon... Frontier was fine early on, once you get past the humans becoming Digimon thing, but the end of it really dropped the ball. Thank god the other kids got to merge with Takuya and Koji into Susanoomon. Also, I think Lowemon (Purified spirit of Darkness) was only used twice before it got delegated to MagnaGarurumon. That was BS.

Nice
![]() Tamers introduced me to my all time favorite Digimon, Dukemon/Gallantmon ^^ Because I don't like the series that gets heaps of praise because of their fanservice over actual plot, story, development, etc? And Tamers is more mature, that's probably one reason why I prefer it. It was a nice change of pace from the somewhat cartoony (Even in the original Japanese) Adventure and 02. The entire Juri thing was great, though it did drag a little too long... Frontier/4 was okay, but then it hit the point where the lead characters get the upgrade no one else gets, and that's where it really went down hill. First they got the merged Spirits, which diminished the actions of the other 4, and then they got the 2nd form, which both used 10 Spirits each, making the other 4 characters literally powerless to do anything, making each episode turn into "Ice into Fire" or "Darkness into Light" for the others and then stand around like an episode of DBZ. The designs were cool (I'm rallying behind the Frontier designs for some D-Arts), but I just hated seeing my favorite characters literally spending episodes doing nothing but having reaction shots to the fights.
As for the series proper, I did warm up to the humans becoming Digimon thing, but I never felt that previous series had humans relying on Digimon. A second viewing of Tamers earlier this year showed me that the relationship is more symbiotic than just "Digimon protects human, human helps them evolve."

And my god I would kill for Frontier D-Arts. I will buy as many other mediocre releases as I need to, to keep that line going, to get to Frontier.

I also enjoy all the things on your list. But then again, I enjoy almost everything.
As for the whole Digimon thing, I like all of it. Even the tail end of Xros Wars. Although I wish they did more with it. I do like how it connected to the first half though. As for my favorite season. It has to be Savers(NOT Data Squad. The dub was terrible.) I loved the story/plot as well as the characters and music. The way the bad guy just always pissed me off was great.
