If I may put in my two cents worth on the thread, I've only seen Kuuga, Agito and right now I'm watching Ryuki, Kuuga has a very good story. Its fun to marathon watch that series. Though from reading this thread those three are more on the darker side of story telling I guess.

Someone help me. Was it Kuuga that was supossed to be the last season of Kamen Rider, so they did whatever and ended up making awesome?

Yeah. I heard on one of Vange1us's V-Builds(which is totally a reliable source of information...) that Kuuga wasn't meant to bring the series back. It was just a last thing with nearly no budget but complete freedom with the show staff(though I have to ask, if this was supposed to be the last series, why would they make it when the last Kamen Rider show was more than 10 years ago?).
