The thing is I don't think Dairanger is that bad a series, its actually pretty good for the most part. The only thing I don't like is that it seems to have been propelled to some sort of god-like status just because it was only semi-adapted into Power Rangers.

So what status does every other Sentai that was adapted into Power Rangers get? Kakuranger was also "only semi-adapted," does that season have a god-like status too?

Not really, no. Dairanger gets a lot of its rep from being a pretty serious and kinda dark season with some fantastic action sequences and impressive mech scenes (particularly the Ryuuseioh puppet). It also kind of stands out because it's sandwiched between the super kid-friendly Zyuranger and the balls crazy Kakuranger, both of which are much lighter in tone. They're all really good, though - based on what I've seen (Zyu, Dai, what's subbed of Kaku so far) the Sugimura era of Sentai (Zyuranger - Ohranger) was all around pretty great.
