Is it strange that I want to have a rider who is a racer? Maybe a Moto GP racer, sort of like Takeshi Hongo? You could have a racing themed Rider very easily.

Well, it is called Kamen Rider, so that does make sense. But only if the racing is on a Kawasaki, not in a Honda.

Though making the hero and his allies all have surnames like Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki would be interesting for that theme of racing.
But then there's Kamen Rider Accel...

Maybe his Rider Kick could have him disappear in a cloud of smoke then reappear above the monster and come crashing straight down.

I also think that a ninja would be a great fit for the hyper-competent jackass personality I suggested.
