Not really. The current MMPR Figuarts have an extremely low level of demand in Japan compared to the U.S. market. It's more about cost and production numbers. These guys with the armor on the body or have unique bodies don't make things easier.

- As any business, you want to make money off a product, so before even deciding to do a figure, one has to be certain that demand and sales will eventually off-set production cost - Figures that have a similar suit design (with a different helmet) are more cost-effective, as you simply use different colored plastic for the majority of the figure and then a different mold for the head - Figures that have a special suit design or armor (so almost every 6th Ranger/Extra Hero) are harder to create because of the lack of an ability to repurpose the body (so basically, it better be guaranteed to sell xx amount otherwise it'll be a major loss) So in essence, we're more likely to see releases of characters that have similar designs in suits that aren't super crazy in design (ie: In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Dino Thunder) before we see figures or teams that have unique suits or really detailed suits (ie: Zeo, Time Force, Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, Jungle Fury). If I'm right on all of that, it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the insight ![]()

Then why not say just that than "requirements," leading us to draw our own conclusions? This makes perfect sense.

Derringer isn't necessarily on the Tamashii Nations Twitter account. This is a more personal conversation, I doubt they'd want to broadcast that MMPR Figuarts are "in extremely low demand" in Japan via Twitter. People would take it the wrong way and there'd be rioting in the streets ... or at least on all the Power Rangers specific message boards.
