Same. I expected to enjoy it immensely, and I really truly am.

At first when this sentai was revealed I didn't think id like it as much as I do now, like this to me is better than Kyoryuger, nod we are only two episodes in!
I really want me some train toys now>_< moments like these when I think I should of gotten these instead of a Sengoku driver(which isn't here yet). Speaking of toys, why does t Bandai make a Shadow Ressha! |

This episode.
Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Yes. This is everything I want from a sentai show. I must process this. Feel kinda blindsided by it. |

Another great episode, with some fantastic action. I really liked the train duel towards the end. I am so so glad that this season seems to be going in the right direction for me. It's just plain FUN in all the right ways. I know I said this last week, but I think it deserves repeating, I freaking love the look of the Shadow Line, just some awesome villain designs. Part of me kinda wishes that they had held off on the reveal of the ToQgers origins a bit longer, but ah well. I do think it makes it somewhat obvious that there is inevitably going to be an episode where they end up going back and likely purifying their home town. Locke's pretty much put a lot of I would want to say into words already, though we typically seem to fall in that similar wave length a lot so yeah... I think I said this last week as well, but this season just reminds me a lot of when I first watched Fourze. It manages to have some genuinely good, dark ideas, and yet has this fantastic sense of humor and it is just freaking fun to watch. I really really enjoy myself when this is on. Glad to see a bit more growth for the team, namely with, as Switchblade said, Hikari. He's a very very necessary character I think, and the show had a great analogy for his role as well, being the anchor/weight to Right's balloon. Do hope to see some further development on the rest of the crew as well. Oh and Wagon was introduced this week wasn't she. As occasional comic relief I don't think I'll mind her. I did get a chuckle out of her "don't swipe it there!" line at least. But she has to be used properly or else I can see her getting annoying sooner rather than later. The color swap gimmick still felt a bit unnecessary, but at least the show managed a nice fourth wall breaking jab out of it. Maybe later on, if it's still used, it may actually feel like it serves a greater purpose, but as it is right now it's just...well, a toy gimmick. Still, only have really minor nitpicky complaints, the show is proving to be most enjoyable. It's clicked with me in all the right places and I am definitely hooked. All aboard for next week!

Pink could fall off a train, and I could care less.
That being put out of the way. This episode was not that bad. In fact, I actually enjoyed myself. Still not as good as Kyoryuger. But, I have hopes and imagination that it will get there...

Loved that Episode and everything pretty much worked for me. The only thing I am not 100% sure on is Wagon. I find her design to be a little creepy and her acting all sexy didnt help

So after 2 episodes, I can't say that I hate it. It isn't hitting all the right notes like Kyoryuger did, but it seems like I will at least be able to watch it every week. The Shadow Line designs are just pure metal and I really hope they end up getting their own mecha at some point in the series.
The team's origin has me interested and my initial thoughts are that they are actually still kids, but are imagining that they are older. It really feels like an official Akibaranger story. Just replace delusion with imagination.
