Gurren Lagann episode 7:
You've got one episode to live Kamina... It was pretty good. I do however, agree with, I believe it was Matrixbeast, that it seems like Kamina tries too hard to be really, really manly. As soon as I saw that giant Gunman, I knew where this was going. It was nice to See Simon pilot Gurren Lagann, rather than Kamina. Watching this show...I can say that I do want the Riobot Gurren Lagann, I like Gurren Lagann's design quite a bit, and the show isn't too bad.

Have you ever watched the Lucky Star opening with the Death Note opening music? It is amazing how well they go together.

AKB0048 season 2 episode 8:
Well...it seems like Yuuko's dead...or at least gone. I totally called that. She was the cool one, and the cool one always dies. Dang DES got bold in this episode. Attacking Akibastar directly. There was more action in this episode, which is always a good thing.

I didn't really care for it. Especially since everyone in my school's anime/manga club was going nuts over it. So when I finally sat down to watch I just thought "... It's okay." Then everyone flipped out at me for not loving it.
I did find the show mildly amusing, but it was hyped to shit (at least on my end) and it just didn't live up to that hype... except for Lucky Channel, seriously why didn't they just make that the entire show again? |

I enjoyed Lucky Star but I completely understand that feeling. I had exactly the same with Haruhi.
Apart from Disappearance, which I loved to pieces.

Fortunately I saw the first episode of Haruhi at Anime North without knowing what it was. That's normally how I prefer to go into an anime, without people breathing down my throat screaming "THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!" That's why I stay away from shows like Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan until the hype dies down. Then I can view the show for what it is, and not what the fans make it out to be.
