MMPR nostalgia is pretty much all Saban gives us. I don't even get it. Most of the kids who loved MMPR have grown up and moved on, and the little kids new to Power Rangers are too young to know or care what MMPR is. Saban brands feels like someone having a midlife crisis, clinging to a hayday that is so far behind them it may as well be in another universe. Hell, Megaforce even had a porsche in it.

Throughout History an Ancient Alien Race called The D-Extinct Empire have travelled to different worlds and destroyed whatever species ruled. Travelling through the Cosmos they stumbled upoon Earth, set on destroying the noble Dinosaurs. But the Ancient Guardian of Earth, Torin, was unable to defeat them.
Today Humans now rule the World and the D-Extinct Empire has returned, using the emotions of humanity to power their ambitions of destructions.
Torin though saved the spirits of the mighty dinosaurs in Batteries called DinoBatteries. And with them has called on Five special young people to come and defend the Earth, stopping the D-Extinct Empire here and now.

Violet: The violet can be a permanent member of the group. They can surely have 3 females.

Males:
Red - Like both Jason & Tommy.
Black - A combination of Zack and Billy.
Blue - A mechanic and class clown in school.
Gold - Like Merrick who became Zen-Aku, he was captured and cursed as his vessel for eternity until one fateful day that he was reawakened.

Females:
Green - Like Trini, the green ranger will be female. Maybe someone who'll pay tribute to Thuy Trang.
Pink - Like Kimberly & Katherine.
Violet - Like Billy.

That still doesn't really make any sense. I'm not sure if this is just me, but I don't see all the PR shows that have aired thus far as one continuous story. You can say that they are all a part of the same continuity, like Megaforce is, but I wouldn't say that makes them all one story.... if that makes any sense. Basically I don't think they need to actively distance themselves from what has come before to have a new show be a new story.

Exactly, same world but different stories. Like how Gokauger handled previous Sentai teams. MMPR stopped being a continuing story when Lost Galaxy ended. Before then it was all one continuing story, but then Lightspeed Rescue happened and it wasn't.

ok first let's consider a few things about this adaptation
1.this will be the first pr show with no yellow ranger
2.this will be the first pr show with more then 7 rangers appear as part of the same team(so forget a "titanium ranger" manuvear since you have fottge of 11 rangers pepole)
as for how these things affect the adaptation:
1.they will probably do a gender swap for at leat 1 team member
2.this show will have to be longer then most pr seasons in order to interdouce all team members properlly(remember this is if they decide to use all the ranger footage we need to consider the fact they might not use the footage of all 11 rangers)

as for the plot of the series i see this show as having a very simialer plot to wild force as the plots of wild force & kyoryuger have some simiale plot elemants such as:
1.having the mentor of the team is able to sence the presence of the villians of the show
2.in both shows the zords are all sentient biengs
3.zen aku-merrick=dogold-utchey
4.having the red ranger have a personal connection to the events of the show and having the strongest bond with the zords
