Not really. It's the first Gundam show that from the very beginning only exists to sell to toys and nothing else. Only interesting part is the "All Gundams" things, but mecha cameos alone does not a good show make

Well, considering that Bandai treats every series (even Turn A) as a marketing vehicle for new toys and model kits all I can say is... at least Build Fighter is being honest about it.

Yes, that is how Bandai sees it, but up until now the people actually making the show were at least putting in some effort to try to be a good show before being a toy ad. Now it's sell toys first. Once a franchise does that, it's going to struggle to ever be good again.

This is probably at least part of why Yoshiyuki Tomino is saying the name "Gundam" as a nuisance and why he's distancing himself from the term. He wants to make a good show, not sell toys.

Gundam from the very beginning was meant to sell toys.

The G-Armor from the first series was created for that purpose.

And the G-Armor is the stupidest thing in that show. You can still sell toys, but toys should never come first and the G-Armor is a good example of why.

Writing thirty minute commercials is the price you pay for getting in bed with bandai. They'll fund your work, but you have to make them money.

I'm actually really excited too. Some of these new "custom" suits really intrigue me. And based on the cameos we're getting in the show it looks like quite a few of my favorites designs will be getting the HG treatment. I'm probably the only person ever excited about the Dijeh
