I've just accepted the fact that only people with a tongue conditioned for the Arabic or Indo-Iranian languages will ever pronounce "Ra's al Ghul" correctly. Same with "Khan."

Yeah, I just don't understand why they pronounce it as Raz when the League of Shadow members were pronouncing it correctly. Obviously the writers of the show know the correct pronunciation.

Because most English-speakers pronounce it that way when they first read that name. It adds a dash of realism to the writing.
