I need to finish the first Danganronpa anime. I only seen the first three episodes and I enjoy them. I never played the games, so I don't mind watching things in a stand alone point of view.

Apparently you don't have to play the first game if you finish that season.

Well it's October, here are the horror anime I will try to watch for this month:
Blood C - Just to see how bad and violent this anime is. I hear bad things about it. I did see the other Blood anime and I didn't care for them. I saw the first Blood anime on VHS in Middle School and I saw Blood + when it was on Adult Swim. Demon Prince Enma Lily C.A.T. - I saw this anime when I was a little kid and freak me out. Tokyo Ghoul - Just see the hype behind this anime. I only seen the first two episodes. Pet Shop of Horrors Perfect Blue - I would love to rewatch this movie since it's one of my favorites. Wicked City - One of my favorite animated films Last year, I rewatch both Vampire Hunter D movies. I also watch the Corpse Party anime series, Deadman Wonderland, Urotsukidoji V and Urotsukidoji: New Saga.

Finally finished Mob Psycho 100 last night so I'm done with my Summer shows. It was an alright season. Mob Psycho was definitely the best, and one of my favorites of the entire year so far. Pretty great. Love Live was cool too. Most other things I watched...decent? Naria Girls was bad but by the end almost endearingly so. Almost.
Fall is looking a bit heavy. Got WIXOSS, Applimonsters and Occultic;Nine for franchises I'm already following. Also giving ClassicaLoid, Watashi Motete Dousunda, Nanbaka, Nobunaga no Shinobi, and Sangatsu no Lion a go. Gonna try to watch the Drifters OVA to see if I'm interested in that. Always wanting to cut down on my seasonals but oh well. In other news, I've stared Haruhi, and I'm only five episodes in but I really really really really like it. Let's hope that continues. |

This is a must see if you like Lucky Star.
They are trying out some Lucky Star game and hilarity ensues. If you want to go to the good part start from 2:44. Best part is when Shiraishi plays himself in the game(they made him a character Classic Mortal Kombat style) and his finisher is...self-destruction. ![]()

I saw episode 1 of Mob Psycho 100 yesterday at my Anime & Manga club at my local community college. It was pretty good and funny. I like the art style and I don't care if it looks bad. Everyone has their own special art style and I like that ONE has his own style without trying to copy off from others.
As for Lucky Star, I never got into it. Not my cup of tea, but I see why people like it. The anime came out during my last year of High School and I remember how huge it was. Lucky Star and K-On seem to kick off the Moe anime boom that is still going on today.

Just got done watching Selector destructed WIXOSS.
Man, lots of conflicting feelings about this one. The recap frankly was kinda painful to sit through. Recap movies in general are annoying, and even more so when they lack a proper framing device. This movie had nothing of the sort, and the result was the sort of recap I dislike the most--just cutting up the series into the smallest bits and scenes possible, to the point where it loses all meaning and impact, so new viewers gain nothing from it and returning fans are just reminded of what a better way to experience these events the tv show was. It was just...pretty bad. It also kind of confirms the nagging suspicion I've had that as much as I really truly definitely enjoyed WIXOSS when I first watched it, I may in fact not actually consider all the melodrama and other such facets of the writing to be all that good in the first place. It was more of a really enjoyable trainwreck--not in a storytelling sense as much, I don't think it's bad, just like...I just like seeing all these characters suffer and shit? But going through it all again, and in this far inferior format is just....eh. Kind of boring as hell. If it hadn't already lost its impact from the shitty recap format the metal breakdowns are still not as fun to watch the second time around. It also doesn't help that they cut all but like, one second of Chorizo's screentime. I don't think she or Eldora had any lines in the entire thing. Weak ass, Selector destructed WIXOSS! Chorizo is best character! Chorizo deserves better! Chorizo was actually mostly irrelevant to the main plot so I understand why Chorizo was cut, but I am not happy about it regardless! BUT! But. But. The recap, the endless, obnoxious recap may have taken something like an hour, but it did eventually come to an end. And the new content? All good shit. Midoriko and Hanayo talking was like the highlight of my evening. And all the LRIGs hanging out with their Selectors...defs gives me hope that Hanayo may just steal Kazuki from incestgirl. And watching Chorizo and Eldora hang out was great. Just wish they could have given them a damn line or two. Stuff with Ulith was fine too. Was kinda gay too? Speaking of which, Tama and...Tama tho. "You smell nice." That damn Hanayo call back. lmao. The ending, much as I enjoyed it, however, does only feed back into my gripes about it being a pretty shitty recap. Midoriko was basically nonexistent for the entirety of the film, until in the epilogue she starts talking like she mattered. Which she did, one guesses! In like, the show. The shots of Chorizo, Eldora and even irrelevant-even-in-show characters like Futase getting their happy endings are similarly odd for similar reasons. The movie itself never introduces these characters. Which is fine, because it's not like it had the time, but if later it's going to pretend they were part of the narrative that the movie itself followed....eghh. A succinct summation of my opinion of this movie would probably be "should have really just done an OVA or something." The damn recap wasn't worth it. |

I'm halfway through Lucky Star. This is the weebiest dub I've ever seen, they use Japanese honorifics in that, but the voice acting is top notch. Wendee Lee's much better than I remember
