Just wrapped up the second season of Kaiji.
So good. God damn. So damn good. Along with the bliss of the finale came sadness that this as far as the anime got. How I wish the remaining manga could have gotten adapted. It's a really great underdog story. I would gladly keep watching Kaiji crawl his way out of one hopeless situation into another. I wonder if the latter manga is translated... Anyway, yeah, it's great. The final battle against he Bog felt slightly drawn out and took a lot of turns, but it only made the end that much more satisfying. I'm at least glad the second season was the end and not the first--that would have been pretty depressing. Although I wish there could have been more, it served as a perfect finale in more ways than one. |

Halfway through Cowboy Bebop. Good god is this good. I understand why this is so highly regarded
Also watched Aggressive Retsuko, adorable artstyle and pretty damn funny

Cowboy Bebop is a timeless anime in my opinion. The show is also great both subbed and dubbed too (I do like the dub a bit more since it fits the Western feeling to it). It's pretty much the last anime of its era. They don't make anime like they used too.

My favorite episode is Toys in the Attic followed by Pierre Le Fou and Mushroom Samba.

I finally started Kaiji and I'm at episode 4 so far. This show is really awesome so far and each episode made me want to see what happens next. Hard to believe this show is nearly 10 years old (I didn't know what it was until March 2013 when I saw a trailer for the live action adaption of the manga) because the animation still looks good (expect for the CG).
I can't wait to watch the rest of season one and season two soon.

Everyone in Jojo talks too much, all the time. It feels like it reached the point of self-parody a dozen episodes ago and shows no signs of letting up. Hm.

![]() To be fair, that's a manga thing and was done because it was more dynamic, if Araki was an animator, I doubt that the constant monologues would happen as often
