It might be "on point" in terms of past seasons, but that doesn't excuse Hasbro if they choose to be derelict with minutiae. The little details can matter the most. Hasbro isn't Saban and if they want to do something BIG with the franchise, they have to think about the big details as well as the little details. It would be easy to ignore numerical designations, but "Easy" isn't going to cut it if Hasbro wants to save this franchise!

Personally I can see them skipping Zenkaiger and just do Kiramager. And I want that more to be honest. Way easy to adapt than Zenkaiger as well. The last thing I need is Super Megaforce Electric Boogaloo. Kiramager's suits and robots are all good designs and honestly the narrative is strictly dependent on how well the Power Rangers writers do well. This ain't the"Neo-Saban" era anymore so there is also that.

From what it sounds like, they might NOT do anymore Super Sentai adaptations.

What will they do with Power Rangers going forward with no Sentai adaptations?

Pull their own weight with original ideas, I suppose? I'm not too into PR, but I'd still consider it an interesting idea on their part if they can come up with original ideas.

If we are not gonna get the good ol sentai footage show, they should just do a big reboot Battlestar Galactica style.

The numerical designations on the helmets will have to be incorporated into the deal, ergo if there is a chance that this gets used, it should be saved for the 35th P.R. Anniversary! That way, Twokaizer can take center stage (in the beginning) given that he carries the Gokaiger "35" on his helmet. Zenkaizer could easily be JJ if this is a JJ that comes from a timeline in which S.P.D. doesn't exist and JJ never became S.P.D. B-Squad Green. The "45" on Zenkaizer's helmet denotes the futuristic status. As to the rest of the team, the numbers on their helmets can denote not the season they come from, but how the Megazords' they're based on are organized. My thinking is that older Megazords are being copied with the intent of using them for evil, and they're organized differently by the villains for this purpose. So if adaptation Zenkai Juran has "16" on his helmet, it's not because he relates to the 16th Season (as is Zenkaiger's case), but it's because he relates to the Mighty Morphin' (Dino) Megazord being referred to as "Megazord 16" by the the villains!

As for naming conventions...."Power Rangers Mecha Revolution"!?
(Hypothetical) Backstory: The Legendary Rangers have had their link to the Morphin' Grid severed by mechanical villains who are descendant of the Machine Empire. Even worse, numerous Megazords have been duplicated to conquer the Earth. A valiant space pirate tries to stop them, only to contend with androids sent to destroy him. It's only after an unknown Ranger from the future arrives in the present that the androids develop emotions and defect to the side of Good. Using specialized gear developed from old Megazord data, the androids are able to Morph into new mechanized forms and revolt against their creators. The Mecha Revolution has begun!

Battlestar Galactica is a show from the 70s that kinda went dormant then it was fully rebooted in 2004. It wasn't a sequel or a remake, just a full on reboot of the franchise. The success of the reboot is evident in how many people don't even realize it was a series in the 70s.
I don't think Power Rangers has been dormant long enough for that type of reboot. And we already got that Power Rangers movie from 2017. The association with kids and toys likely means it will continue to mostly serve its purpose as a merch seller. Funny enough, the original Battlestar Galactica also began as a way to sell toys- sci-fi spaceships, figures, and robots to capitalize on the success of Star Wars at the time.
