Goddamn. We lost Ozzy. Always figured he'd outlive everyone...

We now live in a world without Ozzy and Dio.

It's interesting because about 2 weeks ago I started listening to Sabbath's discography in order during my commutes. Tuesday was the day I finished Never Say Die (Ozzy's last album with Sabbath until the 2013 reunion) and he died the same day.
It's crazy going back and seeing just how unprecedented their heaviness was in 1970. The first few notes of Black Sabbath (the song) must have hit like an absolute freight train. It's crazy to think that he's no longer with us, but honestly it's also a bit crazy that he lasted as long as he did, given how much he embraced the rockstar lifestyle. At least he got a send off worthy of his legacy with Back to the Beginning. And then Hulk Hogan died too. While he's had his fair bit of controversies, and I certainly don't agree with or endorse a lot of what he's said or done, I've enjoyed his work over the years and am still bummed that he's gone. It's no exaggeration to say that both of these men had an incomparable impact on their respective industries and that the world would not be the same without them. Also RIP to Chuck Mangione, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and everybody else we've lost recently as well

It's the same with anyone in any form of media entertainment,
you have to separate the person from their work. Just a shame the work is not always reflective of the real person. Whatever I thought of the man, Hulk Hogan the wrestler is going to be missed. |

I shed a tear when I heard he passed away. His colleagues in showbiz all seemed to have good things to say about him which makes it even more sad for me. RIP.

I just finished the rest of the Devil May Cry show on Netflix. As someone who has been a big fan since the early 2000s, I personally enjoy it a lot. I do look forward to seeing Season 2 and maybe beyond. My pros and cons of the show
Pros: Solid animation and good voice performances The action is fast-paced, and the gore is over the top much like the games I like some of the music choices. For once, it did felt refreshing to have some 00s nostalgia than stuff from the 80s. While I wish they did a direct adaption of the games, I do give them credit for doing their own story. The show does not take itself too serious, as I did like the humor. Dante's personality is spot on. I also enjoy that they added White Rabbit and Enzo Ferino from the manga. It was nice that they use some stuff from other DMC media. Cons: Not a fan of the CGI. It does look iffy at times Some odd choices in the story, like the scientific reason for how demons exist. I like that the show has a message on prejudice and how shitty the US government is, but I wish they did more with it. Hopefully, Season 2 will go more into it. I also didn't like that they made Lady into some cruel, foul-mouthed person. It felt like such a strange creative take on the character.

I saw Lady Gaga tonight. I wasn't a huge fan, more of a casual enjoyer who really liked a couple of her songs, but that was absolutely one of the best concerts I've ever seen, and I've seen over 100.
