I'm just done. I'm not looking into it anymore until another massive and CLEAR (not legaleze bull) announcement is made. So probably E3. It's all too conflicting and confusing and I just want to play my damn games... Today's been way too annoying with the back-and-forth from every other source, without any clear indication what to believe out of it.

(And already a good one from Phil Harrison, the corporate VP at Microsoft, has come out.)
What I have gathered is that, assuming you can connect to the Internet to sign in, you can sign into your Live account on any Xbox One. Your account is not tied to a particular system. Which sounds like a vast improvement and something I have wanted for quite a long time. But, you will still need to be in your account that first purchased and activated the game to use it. If the friend whose Xbox One you were playing on wants to continue playing the game, short of letting him sign in as you, he will have to purchase the game. It is not at all a fee. It's a legitimate purchase. It's not the same type of sharing that is possible now, as Phil Harrison claims, with disk sharing - because they won't be able to play even with that disk unless signed into your account or purchasing it themselves. It's more limiting than what we are used to, yes. But it does not sound nearly as horrible (to me) as some are making it out to be. Unfortunately, the always-online bits are still somewhat unsettling. But it still does sound like you will simply have to be online for the extended entertainment purposes, not for everything. That's my current take on everything and what I'm sticking to for now or unless definitively proven wrong. We're promised a future official announcement, which is why everything is so conflicting today; they never intended to address these issues.

The further consoles "progress" the more I become completely uninterested. It just seems to be alienating wider and wider audiences with each generation and making it that much more expensive to run it all. And since they seem to be pushing more and more to basically make bottom end PCs for twice the price, without the upgradablity, I really see no reason to be a console gamer any more.
Every benefit for a console over a PC seems set to be gone in the next generation.

Whats the big deal with always online. Once that idea came out everyone has been hating. Assuming that you have anything other than a wii. You should have internet.
Whats the problem here, Can anyone explain?

Some people's internet connections aren't very good. You (Microsoft) can't expect everyone to have an amazing internet connection that'll never go down.

I mean our phones do it at, it doesnt seem like such a big deal for our consoles to do it. I'm sure its going far from as complicated as everyone believes it will be. Although I'm not all that excited about the kinect usage. I hope it doesnt end up being like a wiimote, something we HAVE to use. when the wii first came out there was nothing more I wanted back than the gamecube controller. I just hope all the fancy kinect tech doesnt become a necessity.
