I'm going buy 2 copies, one for me and one to give to my friend who couldn't believe how different Zyu was from MMPR. And for those saying what about the fan subs? They will still have their place to get the weekly episodes translated, but if this works out we won't have to worry about series being half-subbed and then just stopping (see Abaranger).

Guys, now it makes sense why Saban went after Chroma squad. It's because they have partial distribution rights to Sentai now.

I love how my response on twitter is forever immortalized in this topic
![]() El nope. TV-Nihon in particular will pull their subs at the first news of an official release. |

Well, now isn't this something. An exercise in "How to get 20+ year old Japanese footage in just 20 short years." All this time of enjoying the Megazord and Scorpina and company, now we can officially have some fun with Daizyujin and Lami and company. We finally have a reason to love Saban and his people again. Super Megaforce is more of a drop into the abyss than an anniversary crowd-pleaser celebrating two decades of a grand heroic legacy. We might be jumping the gun or even shark by thinking MORE will just automatically happen. We should not assume that anything prior to Zyuranger will occur nor should we just assume that everything after Zyu will be viable product releases. I'm not saying they won't be done, but the odds are stacked against us. The sales of THIS set likely will be something both Shout and Saban look into heavily. In all likely hood, they probably know people care for specific Sentai teams just as much as people have specific PR teams. Saban has been riding a MMPR bandwagon and is milking it for all it's worth, and that includes milking its original Sentai counterpart. One can interpret this half a dozen different ways. Regardless of the business decisions people make, this is a reveal we have waited so long for and I think it should be honored and respected. This now means we can show others at large who don't care for PR what the Sentai original is, how it differs from PR, and to let them draw their own conclusions as to what they say is and isn't better.

I'm still a little skeptical about this...Is Shout Factory a reliable brand? I mean, I'm definitely excited about the idea of finally having translations for a handful of Sentai series. But, with Saban involved (of course), I feel that so many things can potentially go wrong.
Who knows? They might cop out on the translations to save money, or..They might 'localize' it, or possibly even omit or censour entire episodes that they deem too "inappropriate"? |

I know that someone is finally going to finish it. It was just the first series that popped in my head, since I remember there were a couple of groups that started and only got through half of it.

Oh, but you shouldn't be able to get the series for free anymore as both Nihon and GUIS have taken down their subs. And anyone else that is respectable should be removing the downloads as well. The purpose of fansubs is to provide a free service until it is licensed to be released legally, and that is what this is.
