I was doing an east - west school exchange and wanted to
also give Lisa and Kelly more screen time. Also to tie up a few lose ends left unfinished by Peacock.

"Can Ms. Jamenez do that?" Safira asked Slater in his
office. "Bayside is the host school this year so yes she can" Slater said. Slater wrote her a note for next class. It was with Riley so she was all right. "Hello Ms. Mathews." "Something up Safira?" Safira passed her Slater's note. "Ms. Jamenez has disqualified Valley from state play for tampering with the equipment." Riley smiled. "Well it shows you can't cheat your way to a win." "I had your father in history last year. In Fort Greene." Riley smiled. "Well given what happened with Valley I'll excuse you today. Go on and take your seat." Safira did. "I was with Coach Slater. Sorry I am late." "You were trying to keep the game clean. Don't worry about it." Riley said. "That brings me to today's history assignment about being honest." Next period found Safira at a school council meeting. Amy Sutton spoke up. "I asked Safira to join our meeting today. She's with the soccer team here at Bayside." Amy said. Enid smiled. "Class elections are today and I put it to you that Safira should be student president of our class. All in favor?" "Aye." The group said. "Thank you all. As you are all aware Valley has been pranking us and they will not be playing in the state finals as they have tampered with our equipment. Ms. Jamenez had banned Valley from state competition. As a result we will have to again face Sweet Valley as Ms Jamenez wants a fair competition. Sweet Valley is third in state standings. As you know Bayside is the host school for state competitions and Ms. Jemenez wished for a fair contest. I can not fault her for that. I also accept as your class president. I play in the game myself so I agree with Ms. J's ruling in this matter. By default due to disqualification Sweet Valley High is now in second place. Tonight we play Sweet Valley High for state title." Safira , Tia , Tamera , Gaby , Tina and Casey were on the soccer field. "Girls huddle it up." Gaby called out. The girls joined Gaby as had Liz and Jess. Safira spoke up. "We got to the state finals by working as a team and not by cheating with underhanded dirty stunts. Sweet Valley might not play dirty but they are tough anyway on their own. No doubt that Valley had somehow snuk into the finals. Ms. Jamenez wanted a fair equil match. We got here fair and square. We earned the right to be here. Remember that." The others nodded. "Forget the match. Let's just enjoy the game and play like we always do." Tamera added. "We got here because we had each other's back." "Bayside Tigers!" The girls said. The game started and again it was a back and forth. Tied at 6 each there was a back and forth with Sweet Valley and Bayside and Casey got away with the tug of war. Casey kicked to Tina and Tina kicked to Tanera nd Tamera to Safira who kicked it left and the goalie had just missed the grab. It went in. Bayside 7 Sweet Valley 6 Tamera was stunned. "You have got to be kidding me." "No way." Jessica added. Tia smiled. "Come on you guys let's get to the Max." Kelly came over. "That was cool team work girls." Gaby nodded. "Man I never would have played in Brooklyn. We were just hanging out back home." "I rember Gaby." Tina said. Tia was hugging Tamera. "Man our parents are going to go crazy." "Good kind of crazy?" Tamera asked. "Tamera..." Casey groaned Tina was hugging Gaby. "At least we got over our stage fright." Gaby shook her head. "Tina do not be a Debbie Downer." Safira said. The girls went to the Max. Tamera called Ray. "We won the big game so we're at the Max tonight. Tia and I will see you guys when we get home." Tamera told Ray. "I saw the game on TV." Ray said. "So did I." Lisa told Tamera."You guys creamed Sweet Valley. Sent them packing." "Lisa chill. Don't be a sore winner." Tamera snapped. "Excuse me? Sore winner?" "Tamera has a point. It's bad sportsmanship to rub it in." Ray said. "You always do that Lisa." "Sour puss." Lisa muttered. "Besides we'd be no better than Sweet Valley. It's not about the trophy Lisa. Sweet Valley thought our new kids were a bunch of Benadict Arnolds." Tamera said. "Ouch. That bad?" Ray asked. "And then the twins beat their own old home town. That's almost worse." Tamera said. "Sweet Valley dumped them remember? It's like they were slamming it in their face. Is that fair?" "No it's not. What goes around comes around." Lisa told Tamera. "It came around all right Lisa. In spades. I've never seen Liz and Jess act like that." Tamera muttered as she hung up. She then pulled Jessica aside. "What happened out there today Jess?" "Well I just got so mad at Sweet Valley for what happened to Liz and me. I took it personally." "Well revenge isn't a good reason for what happened Jess. You can't afford to hold a grudge like that." "Sorry Tamera." "I'm mad too but you have to chill it down. We'll find another way to deal with it." "What can I do? I let my old school get to me." "It happens Jess. You have to keep that grudge in check. We all make mistakes." "Not that big." Jess said. "Well we'll consider this a warning. Besides girl I've got your back." Jess hugged Tamera. "Thanks Tamera."

Tamera here
Previously On Saved By The Bell Safira was chosen as class president. However Jess let her mad on with her old school cause her to lose her cool. Lisa's brag fest wasn't helping any. I got mad at Lisa for it because of what happened with Jess and Liz at Sweet Valley. See what's next for us at Bayside.

The party at the Max continued
Safira spoke up. "I am proud of the hard work our team has shown out there today at the game. This is not about a trophy but about coming together to be able to work as a team. You all have shown that. Some of you have felt betrayed by your old school so it can feel natural to want to get even. I understand that. Your new friends will always have your back. We all won that game together as a team. Remember that. It is not about a school spirit competition but being able to trust your friends. You have all shown you can. Also I wish to point out that Tamera has delt with a tough situation on the field with Jessica. I am proud of her. I had seen the whole incident. Tamera knows enough to set a grudge aside. I have decided to excuse Jess in light of what Sweet Valley has done to her. This was not her fault. Tamera had managed to calm Jessica down. This is what school spirit means. Helping a friend deal with a tough problem." At home later Tamera went to talk to Lisa. "What's your deal Lisa? It's not about winning. And besides Liz and Jess were drifting on their own the first day at Bayside. And those other 4 girls. Is that fair to them?" Tamera snapped. "Grow up and get over yourself. You're no better than the kids at Sweet Valley. I was trying to help them fit in." She went to her room. "What was that about?" Lisa asked. "I think you know Mom." Tia said as she joined Tamera. "Excuse me?" Lisa muttered. "What did I miss?" "The bigger picture Lisa. Tamera told me on the phone." Ray snapped. "The girls were disowned by their old friends and they have to fit in at a new school and start over." "Ewww." Lisa muttered. "Exactly." Ray said. "A new school is never easy. Tamera had a point. The Wakefield were having a rough time of it. They have Tamera in their corner." Lisa nodded. Tia entered Tamera's room. "You OK sis?" "I'm great except for Lisa. But I'm worried for Liz and Jess. That's twice we beat Sweet Valley. It's bad enough their old school disowned them and now this game made it worse. True we won it fair and square but now Sweet Valley could take it out on us." Tia sat by Tamera. "Sweet Valley started all this Tamera. We just finished it for them. Think about it. All SVH could see was being the best in the state. Our team played for the heck of it and we still won. We were just enjoying the game." Tamera smiled. "Thanks Tia. Maybe we do have real school spirit. Sorry I missed that." "Actually you didn't Tamera. We weren't trying to out best anybody. We were just having fun out there sis." "Liz and Jess are our friends and I guess it made me a little mad." "I know. We'll deal with SVH later." Tia said. Next morning Tamera was at Bayside. Safira saw her so they went to homeroom together. "I was impressed by what happened at the game Tamera." "I know Safira. It's not over with Sweet Valley yet. They still only care about trophies and state titles." Safira nodded. "That is their problem. The fact is we are better than that. You put your friends first. You could have cared less about being state champion." Tamera relaxed. "I know Safira." Safira looked at her. "Hey there is a big dance tomorrow if you might want to help me with it." Tamera nodded. "Sure. Is it a date dance?" "No not that kind of dance. It is more of a party for the school." "Sure Safira." Tamera said. Safira passed her the details. Tamera nodded. "I'll see if Tia wants to help." "Want to have lunch at the Max?" "Tia and I can make it." The girls went to home room. After Riley's class Tamera pulled Tia aside. "Safira asked us to meet her over lunch and she put me in charge of the school party. You want in Tia?" "Parties can make or break a reputation. I'm there. This is our chance to do something cool for the school." Tia said. "And yes to that lunch." "Maybe Kelly , Lisa and Jessie can help." Tamera told Tia. "Let's ask them." Tia went to see Lisa. Tamera is in charge of the school party. Care to help us out?" "Sure Tia." Lisa said. "Tamera went to find Coach Morris " "I bet Kelly would love to help." "That just leaves Ms. Spano." "Jessie is definitely in." "Great. Can you guys meet Tamera and me after school at the Max?" "Sure Tia." "With you three in on it this party is going to be cool." Lisa smiled. "We used to plan all sorts of stuff when we were in school here." "All right see you guys at the Max."

Tia and Tamera were in study hall and Amy
sat next to them. "Tamera thanks for what you did. All Sweet Valley cares about is trophies and winning. Being the best is all that matters to them." Tamera smiled. "I choose being a friend over a trophy any day Amy." Tia nodded. "I told Tamera she had school spirit." Tia said. Daisy came over. "I have study hall today. Tamera I have to agree with Tia. Sometimes it's better to help your friends than worry about being the best in the state. You are the real deal. You put your friends first." "Thanks Ms. Jamenez." "See me after school Tamera." Daisy said. Safira met Tia and Tamera at the Max over lunch. "Thank you both for coming." Safira said. "This isn't just a party. We need to break the ice with the new kids. And hopefully this party will help." "Safira it takes more than a party to help new kids fit in." Tamera told Safira. "A party is a great start but you need more." Safira nodded. "Try hanging out with them." Tia said. "That's real school spirit Safira. Being friends takes time." Safira smiled. "Thanks for helping me to see that. I have my Fort Greene friends." "Now you have us. Welcome to Bayside." Tamera said. "Thank you." Safira told Tamera. "Tia let's show Safira real school spirit. It'll take a little more than a party to roll out this welcome mat." "That gives me an idea Tamera." Tia said. Gaby , Tina and Casey were on their way to next class with lunch over. "Anybody seen Safira?" "She and a couple of girls were planning the school party at lunch." Casey told Tina. "Safira is class president." "True." Gaby said. Tia joined them. "I have the next class with you guys. Tamera and I need some help with the party. Safira told me it was to break the ice with the new kids but we might need something more than a party." Casey grinned. "I think we can help with that Tia." Casey said. "We can?" Tina asked. "Girls we do this a lot in Fort Greene." Casey said. "This is Bayside." Tina told Casey. "What does that matter?" Gaby snapped. "I'm in." "And me." Casey added. "Something bigger huh? We'll take that bet Tia." "Meet us at the Max after lunch."Tia said. "Deal." Tina told Tia. After school and Tamera , Safira ,Tia , Daisy , Kelly , Lisa Gaby , Tina and Casey were at the Max. Daisy paid their orders. They started eating. Safira spoke up. "At lunch today Tia and Tamera told me this needed to be more than a school party." Daisy thinks we need to connect." Tamera added. "And Tia had a crazy idea how to pull that off." Tia smiled. "We need something more than a school party girls. So any ideas?" Lisa nodded. "The 3 of us had a lot of stuff like this 35 years ago." "I remember." Jessie said. Belding joined them. "Hey gang. I see we have a new crew here." "No way. Mr. Belding?" Tina yelped. I'm the mayor of Palisades." Belding said. "I'm the new principal." Daisy said. Belding smiled. "And you?" "Class president." Safira said. "Well at least the tradition is alive." Belding said. "I'm in charge of the school party and we need to connect with the new kids. The thing is Mr Belding this has to be more than a party." Tamera said. Belding nodded. "Well a dance off would be a bad idea. But maybe loose the competition and loosen up." Tamera smiled. "We can work that in but we need it to be a bit more." Tia told Belding. Belding looked at Tia. "True. These things always miss something." "That's what we're trying to decide." Gaby said. "The hook to pull it off." "Gaby has a point." Casey told Belding. Lisa grinned. "I think I can help with that."
