I've never liked Figuarts tendency to release core bits, in pieces. *looks at Beast, then looks at his Mantle set, fills with hate*
From what I gather - it's not something I remember being properly explained in Dragon Knight - is that the Contract Beasts become all of the individual items summoned by the cards, so considering all that Zolda comes with it seems wrong somehow that they couldn't just make it combine. Bandai are all "LOL NOPE, if you want his shield he used like once and the ability combine the weapons, you gotta buy another set!" and although it makes sense for them, money, it's a colossal dick move on their part but they also know people will pay (I don't blame them) so they'll continue to do this poop.

If they packed Zolda and Magnugiga together, it probably would have crossed into the triple digit/10,000yen+ field and as a result either wouldn't have sold as well or would be hella expensive to get a hold of now (If Ryuuga's aftermarket prices are any indication.) Most of these Contract Beasts aren't exactly small. If they were to pack ALL the Ryuuki riders with their beasts, it'd be more of a money sink than I'm sure most people would have wanted to commit to. I'd much rather have the ones who are small or thin enough to not impact the price too much (Dragredder, Dragblacker, Darkwing Goldphoenix, etc.) be packed with their rider while the larger ones are sold on their own, like their doing now.

Well considering with shipping it's about 15000 yen (more if you use the options other than SAL) to buy them together, I don't see how it could have been worse to pack them together in the first place.

As stated by Shin Henshin, it's be even more money, & remember the Ryuki releases were started in 2012 so the contract monsters that are exclusive are pricey cause of high demand due to the popularity of both Dragon Knight & Ryuki, mainly Ryuki but you get the idea, so separately sold Advent Beasts/Contract Monsters are pricier than the ones that can be packed with their rider & the last rider that can have that happen is Femme & Blancwing cause Gigazelle, Dest Wilder, Biogreeza, Psycorouge, & Volcaner are bigger than their riders. The ones listed are the ones left to release.

I don't see the problem with how it's done in the Ryuuki releases, though.

A few extra pieces? For such a prominent character? Like, the Genocider I get since that's a very specific thing, but Zolda already came with most of his monster. |

Ahh but the parts that Zolda Comes with aren't the appropriate size to create Magugiga. Hence why the individual figure is so much larger but can still breakdown into the weapons, oversized though they may be.

But the thing is I'm priced out regardless. Zolda goes for standard price, but Magnugiga goes for 10,000 yen. Who would pay that much money to pose Zolda in his Final Vent and get a load of duplicated weapons that are too big anyway? Like I dunno, maybe if the thing was released at like a normal price, but now there is just no reason to buy one unless you have money to burn.

Magnugiga CERTAINLY isn't worth the obscene aftermarket prices. And as Locke said, you're MORE priced-out getting them seperately. |
