The key visual is pretty mysterious, but I will give one spoiler and say that the person next to adult Trunks there is Mai. It really looks like they're going in a darker direction, which is exactly what some fans have been asking for, or so I've heard. I guess Mai may be from Future Trunks timeline since it would be odd for Mai in Goku's timeline to team up with him.

there are now fans taking akira word on not seeign the final script of future trunks arc as saying super non cannon

The official word says, "Goku and Vegeta in tough battles". I don't think Black is our Goku fused into him. Maybe he can turn himself to look like Goku or found away to fuse with Goku in Trunks timeline.

Well Toriyama mention the Future Trunks saga happens after the Tournament. So I guess the mini arc with Goku, Vegeta, Goten and Trunks going into space with Monaka was not likely written by him. They will probably never reference the Copy Vegeta stuff ever again.

Yea I know they might be talking bout that little mini arc but I mean they read one thing by Akira on him saying he had not seen the final script of trunks arc ether for first episode of said arc or last episode of said arc but just using thoes word to regard super as non cannon stupid cause already been stated load of time that it was
