For those of you who have the Seihou Kamen Rider Black, how are the soft parts holding up?

Mine's been fine since I got him. No cracks, no signs of strain.
I like cooler environments so my room tends to lean on the cooler side year round, which I'm sure helps. I also just handle him carefully when I'm posing him and when he's displayed he's posed in a way that's not keeping the material stretched perpetually.

Know what? I'm quite curious too; rewatching Black recently has me realising just how much I love the show and I'm finding myself potentially hungry for the Seihou. Is there anything recommended for taking care of him, avoiding any key areas?

I have both Black and Shadowmoon and so far both are holding up well. No cracks or splits and both have been posed plenty.
And I love Kamen Rider Black as well, so when I say they've been handled they've been handled. I keep them in a cool, dry bungalow basement however. Though they spent plenty of time on the upper floor at room temperature. (mostly at my computer desk ![]() Really makes me want a Seiho RX. I'm also surprised we never got a new Battlehopper to go with Seiho Black, or at least a rerelease of the renewal version. |

Basically, carefully break the joints in when you get him. Gently work them around to get them moving so they feel less stiff, if they feel tight go the shock oil route to help them out. And then from there whenever you pose him just be sure to do it close to the elbows and knees so you don't risk joint stress. And as for the shoulder overlays, as stated don't keep him stored somewhere hot or humid, don't leave them stretched in a pose for long amounts of time and don't man-handle them too much and they'll be fine.

Oh I hadn’t heard about that. Are they noticeably more brittle than say OOO or Tiga? I only ever had issues when swapping out forearms (which obviously wouldn’t be a factor for Black)

Not brittle, per say, but the construction contains enough small sections that would bear pressure during movement that if you're not careful with moving the joint, especially if it's firm enough, you can risk breakage.
IE when you're bending the elbows or knees, just hold the figure closer to the joints when you do it instead of like...bending things by holding them at the foot or hand or something.

Ok so I have had these since they were released in the US. I?ve probably had them in the box for longer than I have had them out, but the joints all look good.
Hopefully the poses I have them in now aren?t gonna damage the shoulder uh ?flesh.? When I pulled them out of the box just now they looked good and they are a pleasure to pose too. |
