I mean it's just ease, especially when it comes to exclusives. Yeah, I'm paying what is essentially the figure's base price and shipping rolled into one, but I also get the option to put down a deposit on-top of that. Not all places offer no-money or partial-payment preorders, so financially it's easier for me to work with as opposed to dropping $300+ in one shot on 3 preorders.
I've had nothing but good experience with them, I've gotten immediate responses with questions and even help keeping track of orders. They ship fast, as well. So I'll support where I can. I have my thoughts on some of their pricing, as in terms of things like DX or roleplay toys their upcharges get ridiculous, but so far their Figuarts prices have been reasonable for the most part. They're a business, so they gotta make a profit. Hobby Genki offers free warehouse storage and you can always pay shipping later when they are released. For DHL/Fedex express, it will be like 4000 yen (~$30 USD). So in total it is $230 USD on Hobby Genki versus $310 at tokullectible, which is like one additional SHF. Personally for me, it is a big difference, especially when SHF is getting more and more expensive. |

Man... I definitely know in the back of my head that three preban figuarts totals that much, but seeing it laid out like that is scary

Figuarts ZERO is still one of the more baffling sublines of SHFs to me. Like, one of the big appeals of SHFs is their poseability to me, and making a statue line that's 'related' to it, it's just kind of weird.
Like the draw is that they're on the same scale as SHFs, right? |

I mean they're essentially scale figures and people do collect scale figures. Their One Piece and other anime-related releases tend sell fairly well.

It’s a bit disappointing there are no weapon holding hands, but it’s not as bad as the Lone Wolf Vulcan not having a weapon holding hand.

Which reminds me, now that the next batch of Zero-One figures got shown - Rampage Gatling Vulcan definitely is the biggest one missing. I could live without Zaia or Ark Thouser, but final form Vulcan is a must. I hope it's a Build Genius kinda situation and it just takes a while. |
