It appears that Tamashii Nations will be reissuing the S.H MonsterArts figure of Godzilla (Birth Version) this August/September. The figure is based on when Godzilla Junior had become the new Godzilla at the end of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). Tamashii Nations went with an exact copy of the design they used for the S.H. MonsterArts Burning Godzilla on this figure. You can it's pretty much a renewal of 1994 Heisei Godzilla S.H MonsterArts figure from 2011.
If you miss out on the figure last year then now is your chance. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...7808916&type=1 Last edited by Guyver Spawn; 04-03-2015 at 09:36 PM.. |

Rumor has it that been reported that the reissue won't have a beam effect part. I was lucky to get mine last December before he went up on the After Market. I do think that this is the best looking figure of 1994/1995 Godzilla that is not from X-Plus in my opinion. Worth buying for any G fan if you ask me.

The red beam was a standard accessory and not a first-release bonus like the blue one. Japanese solicitations for the reissue and Bandai's own item page say absolutely nothing to corroborate that rumor.
In Japan, this figure apparently sold well and disappeared from store shelves, but finding him hasn't been much of an issue in the US, so... we'll see how that goes. Maybe the Bluefin run won't be as high in number as it would be a normal retail figure, since many retailers still have the prior release in-stock.

They should have reissued a figure that has needed a reissue.
BEtter yet, oh I don't know, maybe A NEW FREAKING FIGURE!!!!!!!! The next 4 MA figures are nothing but repaints and reissues. I don't even get why people are making it sound like this guy is rare. Three of my B&N stores have had 4 of them at each store sitting on the shelf collecting dust. |
